DANVILLE, West Virginia
A minor train derailment early Monday morning has closed both railroad crossings in the Town of Danville, according to the Danville VFD.
The derailment occurred at approximately 3:30 a.m. CSX crews are on scene working to correct the problem and get the train back on the tracks.
Officials said the railroad crossings at Fourth Street near Byrnside’s Hardware and Third St near Marathon are expected to remain closed for the majority of the day Monday.

A driveway to a home in Malibu collapsed into a sinkhole Tuesday morning amid coastal erosion, causing a gas main rupture.
Los Angeles County FD crews responded to a vacant home in the 31600 block of Sea Level Drive East, neat Point Lechuza, around 5:45 a.m.
The FD told Eyewitness News that erosion underneath the home broke a water line and a gas line. The Southern California Gas Company has since shut off the gas.

A burst water main in Perth's south has caused a car to plunge into a sinkhole overnight, cutting off the water supply to nearby homes.
The sedan has fallen into a large hole in the middle of The Bridgeway, one of the key suburban roads running through Canning Vale.
In a statement, the Water Corporation confirmed the car became stuck around 4am after driving through floodwater following a burst water main.

A sinkhole that opened up in Regina’s NW has left a gaping hole along the street.
The hole was surrounded by fencing at the Rochdale Park entrance at Cunningham Drive and Stephens Bay on Tuesday morning.
One city worker at the scene estimated the sinkhole is around 20 feet deep, with drainage pipes, cracked cement, parts of the asphalt from the collapsed road and tree roots all visible inside the hole.
