Somerset, UK A lorry became stuck in a giant sinkhole – after being sent to fix it. Workmen from the firm, named Stabilised Pavements, were sent out to repair part of the track after it suffered from severe subsidence. But while driving along the fragile road, the ground gave way to the lorry, leaving one side of the vehicle wedged in an enormous pothole at a shocking 45-degree angle. OAKLAND CO., Michigan A water main break in northern Oakland Co on Sunday, May 10, led Governor Gretchen Whitmer to declare a state of emergency and activate the State Emergency Operations Center. The ruptured 42” waterline serves several Oakland County communities, including Auburn Hills, Pontiac, Rochester Hills, Orion Twp, Lake Orion & Oakland Twp. Crews and emergency contractors have removed water from the break site and excavated down to the damaged pipe, GLWA said. BRONX, NYC, New York Residents in Clason Point lost electricity after smoke started spewing out of a manhole early Monday morning. According to the FDNY, they received a call about the manhole at 1112 Metcalfe Ave. at around 4:15 a.m. Con Edison said about 22 households are without power. People who live in those homes told News 12 they've been without power since 4:30 a.m. Some residents say power has returned, but others are still in the dark. TULSA, Oklahoma A fire broke out Monday morning at the HF Sinclair refinery in west Tulsa. At 11 a.m., the Tulsa FD responded to provide standby support for the refinery’s fire brigade, which was handling the fire. The Berryhill FD also responded to assist with standby support.
