DEVELOPING: Lightning has rolled across Texas starting multiple new fires, according to The Hotshot Wake Up.

The Hunggate Fire has quickly exploded to an estimated 7,000-8,000 acres, and did so in just a couple hours. Evacuations in Randall county have been put in place for Chaparral Villas. This order is effective immediately.

PECO officials said power has been restored after about 1,400 homes and businesses were without power early Thursday due to an equipment issue.

The incident happened after a transformer explosion near the intersection of S 4th St and Jackson St in South Philadelphia at about 4:30 a.m. on Thursday morning.

Whatever the issue may have been, it caused flames to lap the tip of an electrical pole at the intersection and neighbors told NBC10 that they say a "rainbow" of electricity when the incident occurred.
