🇨🇩🩺The situation with the Ebola virus in Congo is worsening, and the country is already canceling flights, Bloomberg reports, citing data from local authorities and African health agencies.

According to their data, as of Friday, 867 people in Congo have been infected with the virus and 204 have died. However, only one-fifth of the 1,745 identified contacts with infected individuals have been traced.

The epicenter of the epidemic is the Ituri province on the border with Uganda, where flights have already been canceled.

"This puts an additional strain on already fragile health systems and forces authorities to rely heavily on basic public health measures, as there is no approved vaccine or antibody treatment for this rare type of virus," Bloomberg writes.

Local health experts complain about the lack of vaccines and new treatment methods. Despite the allocation of millions of dollars by international organizations, doctors still lack even the most basic supplies, such as personal protective equipment.

There is also a threat of the virus spreading to neighboring countries due to poorly protected borders between African countries - Congo, Uganda, and South Sudan.

🇺🇸🇮🇷Details of the memorandum on extending the ceasefire between the US and Iran, which is currently being discussed during negotiations, have emerged.

They are being published by Axios. According to the publication, this will not be a peace treaty to end the war, but an agreement to extend the ceasefire for 60 days, which may be further extended.

It includes:

- Opening the Strait of Hormuz and clearing it of mines.

- Lifting the US blockade of Iranian ports and sanctions on Iranian oil.

- Starting negotiations on lifting other sanctions and unfreezing Iranian assets.

- Ending the war between Israel and Hezbollah.

- The nuclear issue has been left out of the agreement, although there is a mention of Iran's obligation not to develop nuclear weapons and to stop uranium enrichment.

Tehran and Washington have not yet officially confirmed that they are discussing such a memorandum.
