Peter Thiel is increasingly looking to Argentina as a possible refuge beyond the United States.
The billionaire has purchased a $12 million property in Buenos Aires and has held repeated meetings with President Javier Milei, whose libertarian, anti-tax agenda closely aligns with Thiel’s own politics. He has relocated his family to the Latin American country, including his husband and two daughters.
Those familiar with Thiel’s thinking say his interest in Argentina is driven partly by concern over America’s future, including political volatility, California’s tax climate, and nuclear risk.

The US and Iran exchanged strikes as both sides accused each other of violating the newly announced truce.
A US official said Iranian missiles were believed to have been aimed at American forces in Kuwait. Tehran, meanwhile, claimed it struck a US base linked to previous attacks on Bandar Abbas, an Iranian port city situated near the Strait of Hormuz.
