COPA shows their suit against Craig Wright was never about Bitcoin white paper - CoinGeek
Despite being celebrated by some corners of the industry as a fatal challenge to Dr. Wright’s fight to reclaim the whitepaper, we’ve heard almost nothing from COPA while Wright continues to stack victories.
If I completely utterly win and Ira is completely discredited (fairly likely) and gets nothing and every coin is noted to be mined by the jury, it still moves by court order.
there is no outcome in this case that does not involve BTC being forced by US Federal Court to be frozen and then recovered
zero chance
Because if this doesn’t work out then I would burn everything to the ground before it continues. But, I don’t need to because it’s not encrypted.
I don’t want to see a system exist that allows people to sell drugs to children and get away with it and what they are trying to do is create such a system on top of bitcoin.
If I had the keys in my pocket right now, and hit them with a hammer.
As I said, the only way this ends is with a court order and every government official on earth and every law enforcement official on earth and every court on earth and every lawyer on earth starting to understand that there is no encryption on bitcoin and they have been conned for a decade.
You seem not to be getting this.
There is no chance that the coins are not moving by court order. Zero. The only thing that might change that is an unknown asteroid suddenly destroying the earth before the case ends. I have discounted that completely
There is no way that I will set a precedent that keys equal identity. Identity is defined in the whitepaper as being firewalled. Identity is not your keys. Read my bloody paper. Read some more. Read the entire Western canon for the last 2000 years.
To set the record straight
There is no outcome that will not have coins recovered by court order, none.
And he won't
So what
I will say what is owned categorically in court
This entire thing is about the bitcoin and it is about my identity

Note:
Completely non-reversible transactions are not really possible, since financial institutions cannot avoid mediating disputes.
Bitcoin and my Whitepaper does not say that a transaction cannot be reversed.
It discusses the economic effect and notes that there are limits
BitCoin changes the way this works and allows small TXs to be made - and large ones to be reversed/recovered.
There is no mediation of a USD 1.00 TX as the costs to do this fall on the person making the claim.
So, Bitcoin does not stop reversal - it makes small payments possible.
Bitcoin does not stop fraud.
A certain percentage of fraud is accepted as unavoidable.
Bitcoin makes fraud more expensive.

Understanding the Bitcoin Whitepaper | Section 2: Transactions
In this short @kurtwuckertjr explains the next crucial part of the #BitcoinWhitepaper, section two, where Satoshi explained the definition of a #Bitcoin and explains how transactions are broadcast to the network.
@Ron Procaius
Technically, you’re not mining at home.
Rather, you are part of a pool. The pool runs a node and you contract to sell computational hash power to that node. Unless you have a few hundred million dollars’ worth of hardware at home you are not mining.
Running a node involves every step in section 5 of the White Paper.
People tell you that you are mining, but unless you are creating blocks yourself and propagating them, ordering transactions, validating transactions simultaneously in the block you are creating and not merely taking a hash puzzle from a pool, it is not mining at all.
In effect, you are an outsourced electricity provider and lessor of equipment to a mining pool on a short-term basis. The thing people don’t seem to understand is that the validation and ordering and propagation functions are not outsourced at all and these remain in the pool.
Consequently, it is really just a funding mechanism for the pool node.
I know people don’t like to hear this, but the truth is that there cannot be that many nodes in bitcoin and when you’re talking about miners it is very limited.
I am glad, technically, you are supporting that Pool in aiding in the validation of transactions.
So.
