Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System
A purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash would allow online payments to be sent directly from one party to another without the burdens of going through
Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System

Contrary to the claims made by BTC Core memebers, I have never stopped people from accessing or reading the Bitcoin White Paper. It has been publicly available to read since I first distributed it in 2008.

What I do take offence to is the misuse of my publication by people seeking to use my paper in SEO driving search to their site to promote pump and dump schemes, systems that have nothing to do with Bitcoin, or to falsely misrepresent Bitcoin as BTC now do.
If people actually read my paper, they would see that it is not merely the longest chain. HONEST Nodes do not accept payments and process transactions that do not follow the original protocol. This distinction that is being dropped from the description of how bitcoin works is critical.
"...Nodes are not going to accept an invalid transaction as payment, and honest nodes will never accept a block containing them...."
https://t.me/BitcoinWP/404
Moreover, the purpose of bitcoin, the primary function is stated in the introduction. It is not digital gold. It is not ascending large payments but avoiding tax.
Bitcoin is primarily a micro payment transaction system
1. Introduction
"...The cost of mediation increases transaction costs, limiting the minimum practical transaction size and cutting off the possibility for small casual transactions, ..."
https://t.me/BitcoinWP/394
he other purpose is to provide a timestamp server.
3. Timestamp Server
https://t.me/BitcoinWP/396
The cost of mediation increases transaction costs, limiting the minimum practical transaction size and cutting off the possibility for small casual transactions.

A purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash would allow online payments to be sent directly from one party to another without the burdens of going through a financial institution.
Yet, this is not how BTC operates.
Nodes and not users, IP to IP is not IP to Pool.
The cost of mediation increases transaction costs, limiting the minimum practical transaction size and cutting off the possibility for small casual transactions...
Are £30 to £50 fees suitable for "Small Casual Transactions"...???
Or, has BTC created a system where the increases in transaction costs limit the minimum practical transaction size???

In the Bitcoin Whitepaper - it is stated that:
This comment is not anti-bank. This is the trust based payment model to the merchant - the one that makes payment require ID and more - see Amazon) and allows a wide mapping of the user to the payment. This section of the whitepaper is aimed at the merchant and concerns the need for a merchant to trust the user. It's not distrusting banks, but the merchant cannot trust a user where credit cards and more allow for reversals. Take gaming, and web content (eg porn). In each case, the user wants fast access (not to wait 60 days and link to an ID).
The anarchist fools have this completely upside down.
If you are a user, then a non-escrow transaction on bitcoin still requires trust. For instance, if you are buying goods, and you pay upfront you do not know about the quality or even if the user will receive these from the merchant. Consequently, we get around trust issues for the user using scripts and the ability to escrow or lock transactions.
This commentary in the paper relates to a merchant or seller of goods. It is not the occupy version of don't trust the banks or merchants and evil capitalists, rather it is exactly the opposite is the merchant selling goods or services or access to a page online that cannot trust the source of funds that is presented to them.
As an example, if you're using a credit card the user can pay for something such as access to a pornographic site, and five minutes later call up and say my credit card has been taken. So in a scenario where Alice pays Bob and Bob as the merchant, it is Bob who has trust issues and not Alice
