📝 🇮🇶 🇮🇷 Iraq to close all border crossings with Iran gradually, starting Wednesday Iraq will begin gradually closing its border crossings with Iran on Wednesday, Oct. 21, starting with the al-Sheib crossing in Maysan governorate, under directives from Prime…
While the land borders of Iraq and Pakistan with Iran still remain open, authorities in Baghdad and Islamabad decided to close down key border checkpoints with Iran through which large numbers of trucks carrying Iranian oil go through to crackdown on Iran's oil trade.
It is likely that Iran continues to export oil to European markets through Iraqi territory with trucks then heading towards Syrian ports after which they reach Europe. Iraqi trucks may be loaded fully or partially with Iranian oil.
The closure of the Iran-Pakistan border led to Iran cutting off Pakistan from its LPG exports causing an LPG shortage in the country. Pakistan is heavily dependent on fuel, not just oil but LNG, LPG, heating oil too, coming from the GCC which Iran can easily cut off placing Islamabad in quite the conundrum.
Recall that following the failure to regime change Iran, U.S. president Donald Trump alongside Israeli PM, Benjamin Netanyahu, scrambled for a backup plan and decided on coercing Iran's neighbours to slowly cut off all trade and economic relations hoping to achieve through economic means what bombs and missiles couldn't.

The first explosion was heard 1 hour ago and the other, just now.
Unverified eyewitnesses described it as “air-strike like”. The cause of the explosions are still unclear.

The suspected attacks destroyed a significant shipment of weapons, while an October 17 explosion at a PMF facility injured five people.
Iranian-backed groups had been moving advanced air defense equipment and drones into Iraq during the ceasefire to strengthen their positions.
Iraqi officials suspect Israeli involvement but have not confirmed who was responsible or how the strikes were carried out.

🇩🇿🇳🇪🇱🇾⚡- BREAKING: Algeria’s parliament has unanimously approved the forward deployment of Algerian military forces into Niger.
The deployment expands on Algeria’s existing military presence at Air Base 101 at Niamey International Airport, established following the attempted coup on 29 August. Algerian forces are now set to deploy to key oil infrastructure sites across Niger, but more importantly to the Madama Air Base (at
Once a vocal opponent of the Sahelian junta bloc, Algeria appears to have softened its stance toward Mali and Burkina Faso, while openly backing the authorities in Niamey, which included the sale of military helicopters just a few month ago.
Algiers’ shift is understood to be driven by the growing influence of Saddam Haftar and eastern Libyan factions, which Niamey accuses of supporting Tuareg separatists in northeast Niger as well as the anti-junta Patriotic Liberation Front, FPL. Certain sections of the Nigerien junta have accused the FPL of orchestrating the August 29 attacks.
Algeria has long opposed the Haftar warlords, and the deployment to Madama Air Base places Algerian forces directly on the doorstep of FPL areas of operation in northeastern Niger, while also positioning them close to the Libyan border, particularly Fezzan, a region controlled by the remnants of the infamous 128th Brigade of Haftar's Libyan National Army.

🚜 🚢 📉 Fertilizer shipments through Strait of Hormuz fall to zero as food security fears grow
●Tracked fertilizer shipments through Hormuz fell to zero.
●The disruption has lasted more than seven months.
●The UN warns of food shortages in parts of Asia and Africa.
Fertilizer shipments through the Strait of Hormuz fell to zero in September and remained there in October 2026, according to vessel-tracking data from the World Trade Organisation (WTO) and maritime intelligence provider AXSMarine, raising concerns about global food supplies.
The chart's shipment volume index stood at 2,960 in January and 2,531 in February before falling sharply to 1,064 in March.
It dropped further to 278 in April and 225 in May, briefly recovered to 343 in June, and then declined to 87 in July and 62 in August.
By September, the index had reached zero, where it remained in October.
The WTO reported in October that imports of nitrogen-based fertilizers worldwide were only 2.8% below recent averages, while imports of phosphate fertilizers were 2.2% higher, as buyers turned to alternative suppliers.
However, the prolonged disruption continues to create uncertainty for farmers, particularly in countries where planting seasons are approaching and fertilizer supplies are already under pressure.

☢️ 🇺🇸 🥫 The Pentagon is preparing every major U.S. military base to survive 90 days without outside support — no civilian power grid, no global supply chains, no outside fuel or water.
The initiative, revealed in documents reviewed by Fox News Digital, envisions portable nuclear reactors, massive battery storage, and microgrids that can disconnect installations from civilian electricity entirely. Strategic reserves of munitions, fuel, critical minerals, and medical supplies would be stockpiled based on wartime consumption rates. Civilian factories are being pre-identified to shift to defense production during a crisis.
Pentagon chief spokesperson Sean Parnell put it bluntly: "Power is combat now. Without electricity, you lose communications, water, logistics, assembly lines and just basic military command structures."

"While oil prices are temporarily high and will be falling dramatically in a short period of time, like as soon as the war is over, (...) the U.S. oil industry is making hundred of billions of dollars (...) because of what's happening in the Middle East, money that is coming to Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, (...) they've got so much oil and on top of it we have Venezuela who has so much oil and Greenland, Greenland has a lot of oil, so we're making hundreds of billions, trillions of USDs.
My people [advisors] told me not to mention that because Americans are paying a little more money [for gas] but that number is gonna come way down, this is what we've done for this country, we're making money like we've never made before (...)"

The claimed targets included King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, multiple facilities at Khalid Air Base in Khamis Mushait, including aircraft parking areas, ammunition storage sites and drone control centers, as well as the Southern Naval Base of the Border Guard Force in Jizan. The group says the Jizan attack caused casualties among Saudi personnel.
The statement also repeated warnings to airlines, airport workers and travelers against using King Khalid International Airport, while again saying Saudi airspace should be considered unsafe except around Mecca and Medina.
