Basically, ai is mainly becoming a tool to cushion incompetence as China struggles with the entropy of modern civilization. Automation is heavily involved in this as well. It won't just be the Chinese military though, they'll use it in civilian spheres. They'll rely on it everywhere. A new industrialized method to keep the system chugging along as it fills up with third worlders and ideological adherents in place of capable manpower.
A centralized political force in the U.S. and other federalized systems is already hitting diminishing returns.
Beyond the immediate problem of mandates, what these actions and reactions show is that the big city politicians and federal government's ability to enforce writ is slowly being undermined, not due to rebellion and insurrection, but just by a lack of moral authority and legitimacy on the part of the rulers. They have looted all faith and trust in public institutions
It wasn't that long ago that a lawyer or a teacher was respected by the virtue of their job. They cared about justice/education/the future/etc.
Now they are a bad joke. Doctors have joined this rank. When your institution no longer gets people to obey by virtue of just existing, you require force and threats of force.
