Still, Netanyahu's Likud party is requesting an extension of voting hours beyond the 10PM deadline, since mobilization has been much lower among right-wing voters, and is mainly driven by Arab and left-wing voters.

📝 🇮🇱 🗳 Amit Segal on X: Turnout is up nine points. Half of that increase comes from Arab voters, who make up only 17 to 18 percent of the population.
They are turning out at historic rates, at least since the dramatic Netanyahu–Peres election of 1996, and, from what we’re hearing, voting almost entirely for the Joint List and Ra’am.
That means every point of that surge comes at the expense of all the Jewish parties, in both blocs: the change bloc and Netanyahu’s bloc alike.
So the big question ahead of 10 p.m., for the parties, for Arab voters, for change-bloc voters and, in a sense, for Likud areas too, is this: was today’s turnout a massive early surge that is now leveling off, or will it keep pouring in at this pace until the polls close?
My cautious estimate: this will certainly be the highest turnout of this century, and we’ve already passed that mark. It could end up somewhere around 74 to 75 percent. A fantastic, crazy number.
But the real test is the next two hours.
