📢 🇸🇻 🇭🇹 Nayib Bukele on X: Haitian people,

We have nearly finished deploying our soldiers and equipment on Haitian soil. This is not an operation against the Haitian people, nor an invasion of the country of Haiti. We are not a great power. We have no interest in coming to dominate the Haitian people, nor in laying hands on Haiti's wealth.

We are a modest country that is developing. The only thing we want is for our four aviation technicians to return home. And we're giving the gangs a lesson—these gangs that make the Haitian people suffer, that kill people the population loves, that prevent them from living a normal, free life, without fear.

It's almost just us footing the bill for this operation. Even though we receive a bit of logistical help from a few other countries, it's with our own modest funds that we're covering 90% of the expenses.

It costs us dearly, but we've learned from our own suffering: justice and peace have no price. We went through the same suffering that Haiti is going through today. We lived through a nightmare that was even more horrific than what the Haitian people are enduring right now. We know what that means: living in fear, not trusting politicians, not believing anyone who promises to help you. Because no one came to help us, and those who did come didn't have good intentions in their hearts.

But we managed to escape it. After 200 years of suffering, finally we're living in peace, and today we are the safest country on the continent.

We didn't come to Haiti to make money, because no one is paying us to do it. We came to Haiti to fight against the wicked.

But here's what I'm asking of you: trust us, pray to the one true God, and ask Him to heal Haiti.

"If at that time my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, where I am, I will forgive their sin, and I will heal their land."

2 Chronicles 7:14

Help us help Haiti.

And when our mission is finished, we'll return home. Perhaps the next generation of Haitians will remember us as friends who came to help one day.

📢 🌐 👨‍💻 Binance Founder Says Exchange Appears Hacked as $1.8 Billion Frozen

Binance co-founder Changpeng Zhao says the exchange appears to have been hacked, with Tether and Circle freezing approximately $1.8 billion. Binance is investigating a potential security incident, while CZ says he expects user funds to be fully covered.

Binance co-founder Changpeng Zhao said the cryptocurrency exchange appeared to have suffered a hack, reporting that stablecoin issuers Tether and Circle had frozen nearly $1.8 billion following suspicious movements from wallets associated with the platform. In an October 29 post on X, Zhao, widely known as CZ, said user funds were safe and expressed confidence that customers would be fully covered. “It does look like a hack on Binance,” Zhao wrote.

Binance separately acknowledged reports of a potential security issue and said its teams were investigating. The exchange has not yet released a definitive account of the incident or confirmed the total amount of any losses.

Zhao addressed the reports after on-chain monitoring accounts identified large transfers from wallets labeled as belonging to Binance. “User funds are safe!” he wrote, before acknowledging the possibility that the exchange had suffered a security breach: “It does look like a hack on Binance.” He also thanked the two major stablecoin issuers for their response: “Appreciate the quick freeze from Tether (~$971m) and Circle (~$823m).”

🇹🇭 🇺🇸 🇮🇱 Thailand’s prime minister has reportedly revoked the citizenship of the country’s chief rabbi because he continued to use his US passport to enter and exit countries, in violation of Thai law.

The Straits Times, a Singaporean publication, reported on Thursday that the decision came as part of a broader crackdown on foreigners and dual citizens in Thailand under Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul’s government. Israelis in the Southeast Asian country have faced increased scrutiny and protests recently, and have had the length of their visas shortened.

Rabbi Yosef Chaim Kantor, a prominent, US-born Chabad rabbi who has lived in Thailand since 1993, was granted Thai citizenship in 2013 through the country’s naturalization process, according to the publication. While he has long held Thai travel documents, he has reportedly continued to use his American passport while traveling, the report said.

Under Section 19(2) of Thailand’s Nationality Act of 1965, the Thai government can revoke the citizenship of any dual citizen who acquired citizenship through naturalization, if there is evidence showing that the person continued to make use of their other nationality.

Chabad has a large presence in Thailand, as the country has long been a popular destination for Israelis and Jews from around the world. According to the Straits Times, last year some 420,000 Israelis entered the country, and some 30,000 live there full-time.

Israeli tourists and expats in Thailand have been under increased scrutiny in recent months due to a surge in allegations of disruptive behavior and culture clashes with locals. There have been protests against Israelis in the country, some of which have featured antisemitic language.

Thailand announced this year that it was shortening the visa-free stay for tourists from dozens of countries, including Israel, from 60 to 30 days, amid anger over the conduct of tourists in the country.

The new regulations came as Thailand has increased penalties for tourists who break the law or disrespect the local culture. Foreigners who run afoul of those rules can have their visas revoked and can be barred from returning.

👨‍💻 🇪🇺 📵 EU puts country-level social media bans for children on hold

EU blocked Austria's draft ban on social media for children under 14 and postponed overlapping national laws for 12 months.

Commission proposed EU-wide rules: ban children under 13, limited supervised access until age 15; fears national laws would fragment the bloc.

Exceptions exist for France and Greece; Austria criticized the pause as delaying child protection; EU aims to finalize the EU Kids Act soon.

Although the commission demanded France’s proposed law be reworked, it is not expected to be blocked because Paris notified Brussels of the law before bloc-wide legislation was put forward.

And Greece has been able to pass its own rules, drafted long before September.

The EU has yet to deliver verdicts on bans by other EU states including Italy and Slovakia.

⚰️ 🇺🇸 🏥 The U.S. Army has conducted its first large-scale battlefield burial exercise since the Korean War, testing procedures to temporarily inter up to 2,400 remains in 24 hours as it prepares for high-intensity combat against a peer adversary.

Soldiers used heavy construction equipment to excavate and refill burial trenches while practicing procedures intended to preserve remains for later identification and repatriation. The exercise reflects preparations for high-intensity warfare in which American forces might be unable to evacuate the dead from the battlefield immediately.

The training involved personnel from the 3rd Corps Sustainment Command, 20th Engineer Brigade and specialized military support teams. Preventive medicine personnel, chaplains and fatality management specialists also participated.

The exercise focused on temporary battlefield interment, a procedure used when the immediate evacuation of human remains is not feasible. Military engineers practiced preparing burial sites under conditions intended to simulate the logistical demands of large-scale combat.

The Army emphasized that the procedures were designed to maintain accountability and enable the eventual recovery of remains. No actual human remains were used during the training.

Soldiers operated D6 bulldozers and other earthmoving equipment to excavate and backfill trenches. According to the Army’s reported training results, preparing a trench capable of holding approximately 20 remains took an average of one hour and 15 minutes.

Military planners calculated that a properly equipped engineer company could excavate and cover trenches with a combined capacity of up to 2,400 bodies during 24 hours of continuous operations. The figure represents a planning estimate for sustained engineering activity rather than the number of simulated remains buried during the exercise.

The training also examined the arrangement of burial trenches. One standard configuration involves five parallel trenches with a combined capacity of approximately 100 remains, and engineers tested spacing and excavation methods to determine how the equipment and burial process could affect the preservation of remains.

The Army used skeletal models and sealed water containers placed inside burial bags to represent human remains. The materials allowed soldiers to practice handling and positioning remains while evaluating the effects of heavy machinery. The exercise also tested methods intended to prevent damage during excavation and backfilling.

According to the Army, Operation Dragon Covenant marked its first large-scale practice of temporary battlefield interment since the Korean War. During subsequent conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, American forces generally operated with sufficient air superiority to evacuate remains rapidly, reducing the need for temporary burial sites near combat areas.

🇺🇸❌🇮🇷 — U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) spoke at the Middle East Institute on October 28, and among the topics discussed was a briefing about the upcoming American strike plans he claimed to receive regarding the Iran war.

Senator Murphy claimed the plans presented were "insane", and would both escalate the war and violate the rules of war. Senator Murphy also hinted that reporting by various U.S. media outlets regarding planned strikes against Iranian civilian infrastructure is true; U.S. media sources have reported on planned strikes against energy infrastructure and nuclear facilities.

The Hill reported today that the U.S. Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense, of which Senator Murphy is a member of, was briefed on the Iran war on September 29 by CENTCOM Commander Admiral Brad Cooper. The Hill's report did not elaborate on whether or not the briefing was about future strike plans, however.

👨‍💻 🇰🇵 🏦 World’s largest crypto exchange hit by suspected North Korean hack in world’s largest heist

Crypto-tracing firm TRM Labs attributed the heist to an elite North Korean hacking unit “based on robust on and off-chain intelligence,” pointing out that “several features of this attack match earlier North Korea-linked heists.”

Pangolin Intelligence, another blockchain-tracking firm based in Singapore, said it also believed that a North Korean hacking unit was behind the heist.

“I think the cat and mouse game has barely begun yet,” the Pangolin Intelligence analyst told CNN, adding that North Korea was likely poised to tap a network of money laundering organizations to try to cash out the stolen funds.

Chainalysis, another crypto-tracking company, said it was monitoring stolen funds “moving across multiple blockchains,” including bitcoin and ethereum. A Chainalysis spokesperson told CNN the firm had “high confidence” North Korea was behind the hack.

If North Korea is proven to be the culprit, it would be little surprise to US law enforcement officials and private experts. North Korean hackers were blamed for the previous record-high crypto hack, when they allegedly stole $1.5 billion from Bybit, another major cryptocurrency exchange. In that case, the attackers stole an amount equal to a significant portion of North Korea’s reported annual gross domestic product in a matter of minutes.

🏗 🇵🇸 🇮🇱 Dockworkers at more than 110 ports across 22 countries on five continents are striking on Friday, under the slogan “Dockworkers do not work for war,” demanding an end to Israel’s genocide in Gaza and U.S.-Israeli military attacks on Iran and expressing solidarity with Cuba, Venezuela, and Sudan.

◦ More than 25 trade unions are participating, with 24-hour strikes called in Italy, France, Greece, Turkey, and India, alongside shorter walkouts elsewhere.

◦ The campaign group No Harbour for Genocide estimates that more than $2 billion worth of cargo could be left idle, with participating ports handling 13.5% of global shipping.

◦ The group said it tracked 315 shipments of components for Israeli arms manufacturer Elbit Systems through 56 commercial ports between August 2025 and September 2026, all of which are expected to participate in Friday’s action.

◦The Palestinian labor movement endorsed the strike, urging unions to intensify boycott and divestment efforts against Israel.

📢 🇵🇱 👮‍♂️ Poland's pro-EU Prime Minister, Donald Tusk, has ordered a raid on the offices of the Constitutional Tribunal in Warsaw, prompting President Karol Nawrocki to turn his plane around mid-flight.

The court is responsible for ensuring that parliamentary legislation complies with the Polish Constitution.

🇵🇱 A coup d’état is underway in Poland. The forces acting on behalf of the current government have unlawfully entered the Constitutional Tribunal and are preventing legally appointed judges from entering.

The President of Poland is urgently cutting short his visit abroad and returning to Warsaw.

📢 🇵🇱 👮‍♂️ Grzegorz Braun on X: Statement regarding the events unfolding in the Constitutional Tribunal on October 30, 2026.
Today's events related to the Constitutional Tribunal show that the ruling Civic Coalition has decided to enforce its political agenda with the help of the police, disregarding the rule of law, which brings to mind the events of May 1926, whose centenary we recently commemorated.
Particularly outrageous is the fact that the order for the forcible takeover of the Constitutional Tribunal was issued by the Minister of Justice Waldemar Żurek, undoubtedly at the behest of Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
This situation leads to the collapse of the Constitutional Tribunal as an institution, as in all likelihood, two Constitutional Tribunals will now be constituted and recognized depending on political affiliation.
The only way out of this rule-of-law deadlock in which Poland has found itself is to exit the EU, which would automatically straighten out the legal system and remove from it the rulings and interpretations of foreign judicial bodies that are being used to demolish it.
I call for the withdrawal of the police from involvement in political actions and for resolving competence disputes in a manner consistent with the law.
Grzegorz Braun, President of the Confederation of the Polish Crown
