CoinGeek TV takes us to New York for new insights on metaverse and investments in Bitcoin SV - CoinGeek
CoinGeek TV is back, this time catching up with Ayre Group founder Calvin Ayre and Transmira founder Robert Rice to talk about the latest developments in the Bitcoin SV space.
I think differently than most people so Iβm going to break this down very simply. I posted some links to court cases in the US the other day. Because of peer-to-peer network issues in a period twenty years ago, the Supreme Court held that developers can be liable for peer-to-peer software. Now, the bit everybody seems to be missing is how do you stop everyone.
I have made the point innumerable times that bitcoin is a small world network and hence both exchanges and miners require large-scale highly connected networks.
If you start to think about what that means, it requires DNS. It requires IP addressing. Not Tor level but commercial grade Internet.
All of these can be cut off the Internet. Think about what an exchange can do if it violates court orders and is no longer connected to the Internet.
I know that people have these false ideas about satellites and the use of the TOR network, but the reality is only one sort of node matters on the bitcoin network for processing, and that is the miner.
Any miner thing to use either the Blockstream crippled satellite system or the TOR network will find that they cannot adequately process transactions and very quickly find that they are not competitive. The highly connected small-world network of bitcoin was designed for a purpose. It was designed so that people cannot create the system that they seem to want. It was designed to deliver the system I wanted.
Ask Calvin about domains.
Trust me; domain seizure is simple. When I was doing work for various copyright agencies, including RIAA and other related organisations in Australia, courts ended up seizing domains and servers very frequently.

When I spent over $1 million of my money gaining the knowledge and education to create the system, think about how little you gave me. Think about how little other people contributed. When you do that, then you can consider whether my getting grumpy as being an asshole or not when people change my bloody system
The system that I've spent half my life developing
Bitcoin is utterly distinct from crypto currency
And that person needed to have the time in 2009 to work on bitcoin uninterrupted for 15 months before others became involved
And, it just happens that my entire life exactly aligns with that of Satoshi... well that is easy...
I am Satoshi
Yes, and that industry needed Blockchain
And Calvin is in my LLM thesis of 2008. I noted the US crackdown on Bodog in my research

The deal I discussed with Calvin Ayre in March to June 2015 was for an investment in my companies in Australia.
It was for an investment of 50 million USD for 50%.
There was one condition....
That I get rid of Ira Kleiman as a shareholder.
I offered Ira 12 million USD.
He turned me down, he wanted more.
No deal with Calvin happens.
I ended up with Rob.
