Calvin Ayre, quien estuvo brevemente en la lista de los más buscados del Servicio de Inmigración y Control de Aduanas de EE. UU . por operar un negocio de juegos de azar, Bodog, supuestamente ilegal en el estado de Maryland. “Nos consideramos completamente legales”, dice Ayre. “Y en un momento, fue una de las compañías de juegos en línea más grandes del mundo”.

En julio de 2017 se declaró culpable de un cargo menor, abandonó la empresa y se reinventó como inversor privado.

El trabajo de capital de riesgo de Ayre dice que conoció a Wright a mediados de la década de 2000 cuando el inventor ayudó a realizar una auditoría de seguridad de su empleador de juegos de azar Centrebet.
