Vitalik Buterin and Craig Wright: More Satoshi Proof Documents Posted Online in Comments? - http://goo.gl/alerts/eGnZh One document details an email sent in March 2008 from Craig Wright to Dave Naismith. The email was revealed as part of the ongoing court case between Naismith and Wright:

“In March 2008, just a few months before Satoshi’s paper on the bitcoin protocol was published, Craig wrote Dave an email stating: “I need your help editing a paper I am going to release later this year. I have been working on a new form of electronic money. Bit cash, Bitcoin… [y]ou are always there for me Dave. I want you to be part of it all.”

The final piece of information revealed in the tweet from today shows something interesting: it suggests Satoshi Nakamoto’s bitcoins might be held in a trust until January 1, 2020.

The tweet features a screenshot of a document posted on DocumentCloud.org. We can’t verify the legitimacy of that document. However, if true, the document suggests that Satoshi Nakamoto’s bitcoins are held in a trust until January 1, 2020.

The document reveals an agreement between Dave Kleiman to transfer bitcoins into a trust:

“I, Dave Kleiman have received 1,100,111 Bitcoin from Craig Wright (of [redacted], NSW, Australia). At the time of transfer this is valued at around $100,000 USD.

I will form a trust to be managed by at least three people but not more than seven at any time.

All bitcoin will be returned to Dr Wright on Jan 01st 2020.

"The estate also alleges that on January 12, 2009, Kleiman, Wright and two other people performed a recorded bitcoin transaction".

In May 2016, The Economist article had Craig Steven Wright claiming he (under the pseudonym of Satoshi Nakamoto) and Dave Kleiman were behind the invention of bitcoin.[7] In February 2018, a brother of Dave initiated a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida on behalf of the Kleiman estate against Wright over the rights to more than $5,118,266,427.50 worth of bitcoin, claiming Wright defrauded the estate of bitcoins and intellectual property rights.[5][8] The estate alleged that Kleiman was one of the early bitcoin pioneers and worked with Craig Steven Wright on its establishment as a cryptocurrency.[9] The estate also alleges that on January 12, 2009, Kleiman, Wright and two other people performed a recorded bitcoin transaction.[5] The lawsuit claims that between 2008 and 2013 Kleiman and Wright mined over a million bitcoins.[5] According to Craig Wright, Kleiman lost money due to US government seizing of Costa Rica-based Bitcoin exchange called Liberty Reserve leading to Kleiman's poverty.[10]

"Do you want to know why Satoshi had to be anonymous?

Think about it. My past working as a prosecution forensic expert and in other roles with the government would never lead to a system that I could have publicly stood behind.

In order to fund my work, Dave Kleiman and I sold code that was used in gaming illegal out of countries such as Costa Rica. David took the biggest risk because gambling is not illegal in Australia. Nothing he was able to earn in Panama was able to be repatriated legally in the USA".

Hello, Dave stated; "Craig.. And be gentle Craig will pick apart opinions and bring back \ factual information without batting an eye." True and I am always open to being proved wrong. The thing is that I have to be \ PROVED Wrong. Opinion and anecdotal evidence is not proof. Validated points and \ correctly collected statistical data are. As much as many people find this difficult to believe (even my wife) I enjoy being \ proved wrong. It is both a learning opportunity for my self and a demonstration that \ others are engaging in serious peer review processes outside of academe. In the past 20 years I have performed close to 5,000 engagements. At the moment I am \ conducting one of the largest vulnerability and risk assessments ever conducted in \ Australia in association with the Attorney Generals CNVA programme. The first issue to address is yes you found a vulnerability and it was exploitable. \ What is the risk? The impact threat vectors and other analysis factors need to be \ considered. Vulnerabilities do not matter by themselves. They create a risk \ potential. When you understand this you will both serve your clients more effectively \ and also add value in a manner they will understand. You need to sell to management. \ They understand finance and risk. Vulnerabilities are FUD. They do not help. As for engineering something not to fail. This is where I have an issue with people \ who think they are engineers. Engineering is the process of building something to a \ set specification. An example is giving a 95% Confidence Internal of a 5 year \ expected life. It involves the analysis and design of hazard functions and survival \ processes. Regards, Craig PS this is about as nice as I get unless people actually seek to open their minds and \ learn.
