286 developers submitted their apps for the April Coding Contest. Among them, 130 developers used JavaScript, 62 iOS Swift and 94 Android Java. Interestingly, 10 developers managed to send their apps during the last minute of the allowed time (11:59 PM CET).
Given the difficulty and the timeframe of the contest, we are excited too see so many developers taking part in Stage 2.
Within the next 24 hours, we’ll make all the apps available for public review.

During the next 7 days, everybody is welcome to find and report issues in the competing apps. The developers have the opportunity to publicly reply to issues found in their apps.
To make the perception of the apps unprejudiced, each contestant has been assigned a random alias.

As you may have noticed, the Contest Platform now allows testers to vote for apps.
This voting process won't define who will win the Contest, but will help us ensure we don't miss any high-quality submissions.
The apps are sorted by rating (i.e. the number of votes) by default, but you can choose to sort them by submission time or issue count.

A Beta version of Telegram X Android got the ability to clear local data account without having to reenter it.
Attention: all secret chats, settings and downloaded data will be lost. The possibility of optimizing to a local database of messages is not currently supported in TDLib.
To download the beta version from Google Play after you log into the testing program.

We've just released a new update that includes a bunch of bug fixes and improvements for the app.
We've also restored Swipe to reply/forward functionality on Anniversary Update, as this is going to be the last version of the app to support this specific version of Windows 10 as it has been released in 2016 and it is no longer supported by Microsoft it since April 10, 2018.
This won't impact most fo the users in any way, as they're running already newer versions of Windows 10, so there's no reason to worry: this change allows us to stay up to date with latest technologies and to focus on improving the app even more.

FYI about Erase All Data.
When you use "erase all data", alongside secret chats and downloaded media, only few settings are lost (complete list below). It affects only the account you are using it from. No data is erased on other accounts.
Always use this feature instead of logging out / signing in back. Logging out/logging in back now has no benefits at all, never do it.
Here's the list of what's deleted and can't be recovered:
- All secret chats
- Mentions/pinned message notification settings are reset to default
- Info about used hashtags
- Info about used inline bots
- Active live locations
- Bot keyboards in many groups
- Information about imported contacts (they'll be re-imported again, not a big deal)
- All incomplete active requests (e.g. unsent & failed outgoing messages)
- All shown notifications (they hide automatically once you perform this action)
If none above is essential for you, feel free to use this feature periodically.
