📝 Mauro Vieira stated that “such unilateral classification could be invoked as justification for extraterritorial actions on Brazilian institutions, particularly in the financial, immigration, and criminal spheres. There is also a risk of the use of U.S. military force against national territory.” He emphasized that no formal communication has been made by the United States regarding this classification, meaning it was an autonomous decision by Washington, which exempts Brazil from issuing an official response.

➡️ The U.S. diplomatic service criticized the suggestion and stated that the measures are intended to combat criminal groups operating within the United States.
