On November 17, 2025, the welcoming and orientation ceremony for the new students of English Literature and English Translation Studies was held in Saba Hall. The event aimed to create a friendly atmosphere where first-year students could become familiar with the university environment, faculty members, and the academic and cultural programs of the department.

The ceremony began with a welcoming speech by Dr. Rouh-Parvar, the head of the department, who emphasized the importance of literature, translation, and linguistic research in academic and cultural communication. She introduced the facilities and capacities of the faculty and encouraged students to make full use of the educational and research opportunities available to them.

The event continued with a series of speeches and introductions by the faculty members. Dr. Sharifi-Moqaddam introduced the Linguistics program, explaining its specialized fields, scientific applications, and future opportunities. Dr. Roozbeh discussed the characteristics and appeal of English Literature, familiarizing students with the curriculum, literary movements, and potential research directions. Dr. Ghahari introduced the English Language Teaching program, emphasizing its skill-oriented nature and the importance of training qualified educators. Serving as academic advisor for the 2025 cohort, Dr. Rouhani offered guidance on beginning the academic year, course selection, and time management. Dr. Bani-Asad Azad, also an academic advisor for the cohort, provided further explanations on academic progress, scholarly activities, and pathways for skill development. Finally, Dr. Hadipour introduced the English Translation Studies program, highlighting essential translation skills, the job market, and specialized career paths. He also presented the upcoming annual plans of the department’s student association in his role as its faculty advisor.

The artistic segment of the event featured English poetry recitation and short dramatic readings from classic literary texts performed by students, which were warmly received. Members of the student association shared their experiences related to coursework, extracurricular activities, and useful tips for navigating the first year.

In the final part of the ceremony, a reception and an open discussion provided an opportunity for students to interact informally with each other and with the faculty members. The event concluded with a group photo, marking the beginning of what is hoped to be a productive, dynamic, and inspiring academic year for the new students.

در تاریخ ۲۶ آبان ۱۴۰۴، مراسم استقبال و آشنایی دانشجویان جدیدالورود رشته‌های ادبیات انگلیسی و مترجمی زبان انگلیسی در سالن صبا برگزار شد. هدف این برنامه ایجاد فضایی صمیمانه برای آشنایی دانشجویان سال اول با محیط دانشگاه، اعضای هیئت علمی، و برنامه‌های آموزشی و فرهنگی گروه بود.

در آغاز مراسم، دکتر روح‌پرور، مدیر گروه، ضمن خوشامدگویی به دانشجویان جدید، بر اهمیت ادبیات، ترجمه و پژوهش‌های زبانی در ارتباطات علمی و فرهنگی تأکید کرد. ایشان همچنین امکانات و ظرفیت‌های گروه را معرفی کرده و دانشجویان را به بهره‌مندی از فرصت‌های آموزشی و پژوهشی موجود تشویق نمود.

در ادامه، اعضای هیئت علمی سخنرانی‌هایی را ارائه کردند. دکتر شریفی‌مقدم به معرفی رشته زبان‌شناسی پرداخت و حوزه‌های تخصصی، کاربردهای علمی و فرصت‌های آینده این رشته را توضیح داد. دکتر روزبه، ویژگی‌ها و جذابیت‌های رشته ادبیات انگلیسی را تشریح کرد و دانشجویان را با برنامه درسی، جنبش‌های ادبی و زمینه‌های پژوهشی آشنا ساخت. دکتر قهاری نیز رشته آموزش زبان انگلیسی را معرفی کرد و بر مهارت‌محور بودن آن و اهمیت تربیت مدرسین توانمند تأکید نمود. دکتر روحانی، به‌عنوان مشاور تحصیلی ورودی‌های ۱۴۰۴، نکاتی درباره آغاز سال تحصیلی، انتخاب واحد و مدیریت زمان ارائه کرد. دکتر بنی‌اسد آزاد نیز به‌عنوان مشاور تحصیلی، توضیحات بیشتری درباره پیشرفت تحصیلی، فعالیت‌های علمی و مسیرهای توسعه مهارت‌ها ارائه داد. در پایان، دکتر حدی‌پور رشته مترجمی زبان انگلیسی را معرفی کرد و به مهارت‌های ضروری برای مترجمان، بازار کار و مسیرهای تخصصی اشاره نمود. وی همچنین در مقام استاد مشاور انجمن علمی، برنامه‌ سالانه پیش‌ روی انجمن را معرفی کرد.

بخش هنری مراسم شامل دکلمه‌ی شعر انگلیسی و اجرای کوتاه نمایشی از متون ادبی کلاسیک توسط دانشجویان بود که با استقبال حاضران روبه‌رو شد. اعضای انجمن علمی نیز تجربیات خود را در زمینه واحدهای درسی، فعالیت‌های دانشجویی و نکات کاربردی برای سال اولی‌ها با دانشجویان جدید به اشتراک گذاشتند.

در بخش پایانی برنامه، پذیرایی و گفت‌وگوی آزاد فرصتی فراهم کرد تا دانشجویان به شکلی غیررسمی با یکدیگر و با اساتید تعامل داشته باشند. مراسم با ثبت عکس دسته‌جمعی پایان یافت و آغازگر سالی تحصیلی پربار، پویا و الهام‌بخش برای دانشجویان جدید شد.
