⏺ሆኖም፣ አህጉሪቱ ይህንን ከፍተኛ የቤት ፍላጎት የምታሟላበት መንገድ ከአካባቢ ጥበቃና ከአየር ንብረት ለውጥ ጋር የሚጋጭ መሆኑ ትልቅ ፈተና ደቅኗል።

⏺የግንባታው ዘርፍ እና የካርቦን ልቀት
እንደ ዘገባው ከሆነ፣ በአሁኑ ወቅት በአፍሪካ እየተለመደ የመጣው የኮንክሪት፣ የሲሚንቶ እና የብረት ግንባታ ከፍተኛ የካርቦን ልቀት (Carbon Emission) የሚያስከትል ነው። እነዚህ ግብዓቶች በሚመረቱበት ወቅት የሚለቁት ሙቀት አማቂ ጋዝ ለዓለም አቀፉ የአየር ንብረት መዛባት የራሳቸውን አሉታዊ ድርሻ እያበረከቱ ይገኛሉ።

⏺በተለይም ፈጣን የከተማ ዕድገት በሚታይባቸው እንደ ኢትዮጵያ ባሉ አገራት፣ የግንባታው ዘርፍ ከአካባቢ ጥበቃ ጋር ተስማሚ ካልሆነ የረጅም ጊዜ ማኅበራዊና ኢኮኖሚያዊ ቀውስ ሊያስከትል እንደሚችል ዘገባው ያስጠነቅቃል።

⏺‘The Conversation’ ባወጣው በዚህ ዘገባ፣ አፍሪካ የቤት እጥረት ችግሯን ለመፍታት ወደ "አረንጓዴ መፍትሔዎች" መዞር እንዳለባት አጽንኦት ሰጥቷል። ከእነዚህም መካከል፦

⏺አገር በቀል ግብዓቶች፦ እንደ ጭቃ (Earth blocks) እና ቀርከሃ ያሉ ዝቅተኛ የካርቦን ልቀት ያላቸውን ቁሶች መጠቀም።

⏺የኃይል አጠቃቀም፦ ቤቶች በተፈጥሮ ብርሃንና አየር እንዲታገዙ በማድረግ የኤሌክትሪክ ፍጆታን በከፍተኛ ሁኔታ መቀነስ።

⏺ደረጃዎች (Standards)፦ ግንባታዎች ጥብቅ የሆኑ የአካባቢ ጥበቃ ደረጃዎችን እንዲያሟሉ ማድረግ።

⏺ለእነዚህ አረንጓዴ መፍትሔዎች ትልቁ እንቅፋት የገንዘብ አቅርቦት መሆኑን ዘገባው ጠቁሟል። ዘላቂ የግንባታ ዘርፍን ለመደገፍ "አረንጓዴ ቦንዶችን" (Green Bonds) ማስተዋወቅ እና ዓለም አቀፍ የአየር ንብረት ፈንዶችን (Climate Funds) ውጤታማ በሆነ መንገድ መጠቀም እንደሚያስፈልግ ተመላክቷል።

⏺በተጨማሪም መንግሥታት ለአረንጓዴ ግንባታ ዘርፍ ልዩ ማበረታቻዎችንና የታክስ ቅናሾችን በመስጠት የግል ባለሀብቱ እንዲሳተፍ ምቹ ሁኔታ መፍጠር እንዳለባቸው ተገልጿል።

⏺በመጨረሻም አፍሪካ የቤት ፍላጎቷን ስታሟላ የአካባቢ ጥበቃን ታሳቢ ካላደረገች፣ ወደፊት የምትገነባቸው ከተሞች ለነዋሪዎች ምቹ የማይሆኑና ለተፈጥሮ አደጋ ተጋላጭ ሊሆኑ እንደሚችሉ ዘገባው አክሎ አሳስቧል። የዘርፉ ባለሙያዎችም ይህንን ዓለም አቀፍ ተሞክሮ ወደ አገር ውስጥ በማምጣት፣ ኢንዱስትሪው ከዘመኑ ጋር አብሮ እንዲራመድ መሥራት እንደሚጠበቅባቸው ተመልክቷል።
