☪️ A few weeks ago it was the time of Aïd celebration in the islamic word. A day when Muslims are asked to killed and sacrifice a goat, a celebration dating back to Jewish traditions.

🔪 In France, it is illegal to kill big animals outside of slaughterhouse. But each years, thousands of corpses of animals killed illegaly are found by the authorities, hidden in rivers, forests or fields.

🐐 The animals almost always faced cruelty and stress before their death as they are killed in the bathtubs of the practicing Muslims, most the time using bad knives or electric saw to cut them while alive, as the halal rite implies.

📺 A TV channel team followed the mayor of a Paris region city to visit the local no-go-zone.

💥 The filmed visit gave a good example of what the life in a french no-go-zone is : the car was attacked violently by local immigrants throwing stones and steel balls (Pétanque balls)

💣 Soldiers from Kati military base are rebelling. The mutinity escalated to a large scale coup d'état, with soldiers heading to Bamako, Mali's capital.

📌 Note : more than 5000 french soldiers, mostly infantry and special forces, are supposed to secure this area. Mali as a whole is also facing a rise of Islamist populism with massive protests around the country.

🇹🇷 There are rumours that the coup in Mali is backed by Turkey. Indeed, Turkish accounts massively relayed anti-French content and played a role in spreading rumours during the first hours of the coup (crucial moments in a change of regime).

🇨🇵 Turkey's motivation would be to overthrow the pro-French IBK government. This in order to destabilize the whole Sahel region and cause possible migration to Europe by the southern route (Black Africa - Sahel - Maghreb - Italy/Spain).
