Current immigration levels of more than one million a year could become the 'norm' for Britain, a think-tank warned last night.
Hundreds of criminals have escaped or were 'released by mistake' over the last decade.
Sex offenders, drug dealers and violent robbers are among those set free. In one horrific case, a sex offender raped a 16-year-old girl and sexually assaulted another young woman after being mistakenly released by the prison service.
Last year, 12 broke free and 54 were mistakenly let go.
