โ๏ธ๐๏ธโฆ๏ธ Dear Subscribers
On the day of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary โ the glory of the Catholic Church, and the Dormition of the Theotokos โ the hope of the Orthodox Church, we unite in worship of Her who has been exalted above the angelic choirs.
Today heaven opens for the Queen, and all creation rejoices in Her glory.
May Her intercession be our shield, and Her love our guide to the Saviour.
Honour to Her name, and peace on earth.
May our common Mother in heaven bless Her Catholic and Orthodox children, and may She show Protestants the way to the truth.

Among the key directives:
Aircraft Carrier CVN-81: Within 60 days, the administration will develop a plan to replace the EMALS electromagnetic catapult and the Advanced Weapons Elevators with traditional steam and hydraulic systems.
Foreign Shipbuilding: The administration will seek to implement the "Finnish Model," allowing foreign shipbuilders to participate in the construction of up to three types of vessels, provided that they establish or acquire a shipyard in the U.S., train American workers, transfer relevant technology, and create a U.S.-based supply chain. The first two ships may be built abroad, with subsequent vessels built in the United States.
New Surface Combatants: The Navy will develop a new procurement approach aimed at acquiring affordable and reliable surface combatants capable of anti-submarine warfare, surface warfare, and convoy escort.
Fifth Navy Shipyard: A plan will be developed to establish a fifth public Navy shipyard, including additional dry dock capacity for nuclear submarines and aircraft carriers.
Submarine Repair: The administration will establish a Component Repair Center designed to maintain at least one full set of spare equipment for Los Angeles, Virginia, Seawolf, Ohio, and Columbia-class submarines.
NAVSEA Reform: The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) will undergo a review aimed at reducing bureaucracy, increasing accountability, and preventing redesigns of already proven ship designs.
The primary goal of this order is to increase production capacity and competition in the U.S. shipbuilding industry, while reducing the costs and time required for the construction and maintenance of Navy vessels.
It is important to note that most of these provisions direct the Department of Defense and the Navy to develop plans within specified timelines; they do not provide for immediate approval or funding of the projects in question.

Europe is concerned that the United States and Russia may reach an agreement "over the heads" of European countries, so France, Germany, and Britain are working on their participation in future negotiations. However, Russia has not yet shown any interest in a serious dialogue with Europe.

A crew member aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) sent a photo to a relative showing the carrierโs latest meal service, complaining that the food was being served as mixed scoops rather than allowing sailors to choose individual items.
The crew was told that the food had been blended together, with the beans singled out as particularly unappetizing.
Meanwhile, the USS Boxer (LHD-4), an amphibious assault ship currently deployed against Iran, has run out of womenโs hygiene products, likely referring to tampons and sanitary pads.

The 11th Army Corps of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, responsible for the defense of Sloviansk and Kramatorsk, may see a change of command.
Drapaty plans to appoint Emil Ishkulov, former commander of the 80th Air Assault Brigade, to replace Brigadier General Oleksiy Maystrenko.
One of the reasons for the personnel decision may be the need to strengthen the defense due to growing threats to Sloviansk and Kramatorsk.
Ishkulov is currently the deputy commander of the 7th Air Assault Corps. In 2024, during the Kursk operation, he refused to send the 80th Brigade to Russian territory, after which he was dismissed from his position as brigade commander.
