Journalist Manuel Cerdán reported in The Objective that Spanish financing to Morocco through credits from the Fund for the Internationalisation of the Company (FIEM) has surged since 2021, as the amount granted to Morocco from 2017 to 2020 was around 207 million. This increase followed the government’s awareness of the spying on Sánchez’s phone via the Pegasus programme.

FIEM credits are managed by the Secretariat of State for Trade and are used to finance export and investment projects involving Spanish companies, particularly in sectors like infrastructure and technology.

At the beginning of the war, Ukrainian forces had already used the Stugna ATGM to engage hovering Russian Ka-52 attack helicopters, but at the time, more expensive conventional anti-tank missiles were used for this purpose.

Now, the new munition effectively turns the ATGM launcher into a MANPADS as well, making the system more versatile and similar in its role to the RBS-70.
