🇱🇻🇷🇺⚡ Latvia has extended for another year the ban on non-regular international passenger bus services to Belarus and Russia. The restrictions came into force on November 1, 2026 and will remain in effect until October 31, 2027.
The ban applies to all carriers regardless of the country of registration of the company or the bus. Latvia’s Ministry of Transport explained the decision by security considerations and the conflict in Ukraine.
In addition, amendments have been prepared that provide for a ban, starting January 10, 2027, on regular international bus routes to Belarus and Russia, as well as on transit transportation through Latvian territory to these countries.
