According to Tusk, this situation required an immediate response, and thanks to the mobilization of significant police forces, border guards, and counter-terrorism units, the attempt at Russian provocation was successfully prevented. Polish publications report that even units from the special forces division GROM were involved.
"Shortly after midnight, I received information from border guards that there was disturbing activity on the Polish-Russian border, people with flashlights. We very quickly mobilized the appropriate forces and resources there and were able to prevent any attempts at provocation, if there were any," Tusk boasted, without a hint of irony.

🇫🇷⚡️ General Émeric Bonmezon, who will leave his post as head of the French Defense Intelligence and Security Directorate (DRSD) in the summer of 2027 upon reaching the maximum service age, has attracted the interest of a number of private companies.
It has become known that this electronic warfare specialist — who commanded the 54th Signal Regiment (specializing in signals intelligence, COMINT) in 2009–2011 and headed the Cyber Defense Command (COMCYBER) in 2022–2025 — has been approached by representatives of investment funds with an offer to become an operating partner. Companies working in the field of cybersecurity and dual‑use technologies have also shown interest in him.
Two of Bonmezon’s predecessors as head of the DRSD also moved to the private sector after completing their service. Philippe Susnjara, who led the directorate in 2022–2025, joined Lesaffre, a French producer of animal feed and fermentation products. Éric Buquet, who previously served in the General Directorate for External Security (DGSE) and headed the DRSD in 2018–2022, took up the position of security director at Sanofi.

🚨 🇰🇵 Binance reveals how North Korean hackers infiltrated its systems through a months-long cyber operation before stealing $6.34 billion in digital assets.
- June: Attackers exploited a tampered Homebrew software installation to expose a wallet engineer’s role and colleagues.
- September: Hackers posed as recruiters and company executives during fake job interviews, tricking another engineer into downloading a malicious coding assignment.
- October 20: Attackers used the compromised computer and an internal AI tool to access two other wallet engineers’ devices and steal credentials.
- October 29: Using the stolen credentials, hackers deployed a malicious container and gained access to Binance’s internal wallet-signing operations.
- The attackers exploited Ethereum’s EIP-7702 authorization mechanism to grant a malicious smart contract control over wallet transactions.
- They bypassed normal withdrawal controls and moved approximately $6.34 billion in digital assets to attacker-controlled addresses.
The FBI attributed the attack to North Korea.
