🇺🇸⚡️ — AP Releases Preliminary Results of US Congressional Elections

According to projections by the Associated Press at 5:35 AM Moscow time, the Democratic Party is projected to win 45 seats in the Senate, compared to 36 for the Republicans. Another 19 seats are still undecided.

In the House of Representatives, the agency reports that Democrats are projected to win 101 seats, while Republicans are projected to win 55. There are still 279 seats to be allocated.

As reported by "Kommersant," Democrats have already secured votes in three key states in the Senate elections: Georgia, New Hampshire, and North Carolina. In the latter state, a Democratic candidate also managed to win a seat from the Republicans in the House of Representatives elections.

According to CNN, citing the executive director of the Jenkins County, the reason was technical malfunctions with the voting machines.

The malfunction affected 332 polling stations in more than 40 municipalities in the county.

🇺🇸🇮🇷⚡️— Trump linked the republican defeat in the US congressional elections to the war with Iran and rising gasoline prices.

"We actually have the greatest economy. You know, during my first term, I had the best economy. But because of the gasoline prices, people don't notice it as much as they would without it. And the problem with gasoline was caused by Iran," Trump said.

"But at the same time, people understood the importance of what I did regarding Iran," the US President added.

🇪🇺🇺🇦⚡️— The European Commission (EC) is preparing a “more cautious” EU accession plan for Ukraine because it is unable to complete preliminary negotiations in several areas, separating Ukraine's application from Moldova's, Politico reports.

According to the EC's preliminary assessments, Moldova could have opened most of the negotiation clusters as early as July. However, it remains “locked” in the same enlargement group as Ukraine.
