🇺🇸⚡️ — The United States Air Force has placed Major Jason Watson in pretrial confinement following his public calls for the impeachment of President Donald Trump.

On July 1, Watson was detained after speaking at the Capitol building while in uniform, calling for the president's impeachment.

He was not formally charged by the military in connection with that action, although wearing a military uniform while participating in political activity is prohibited by military regulations.

He was taken into custody again on August 18, a day after he criticized Trump in an interview with CNN. According to his attorney, Watson informed his superiors that he would no longer wear his uniform and was arrested after refusing to comply with an order to put it on.

The Air Force states there is probable cause for charges of "further misconduct," but Watson has not yet been formally charged.

His attorney expects possible charges under Article 88, which prohibits contemptuous remarks against certain senior government officials, or under Article 92 for failure to obey an order.

The package includes eight Pratt & Whitney PW4062 turbofan engines (four installed, four spares), AN/ALR-69A radar warning receivers, Large Aircraft Infrared Countermeasure (LAIRCM) systems, and associated logistics and support.

The proposed sale is intended to enhance Qatar’s defense capabilities and interoperability with U.S. and allied forces. Qatar currently lacks dedicated aerial refueling aircraft. The notification has been transmitted to Congress.

The Anti-Corruption Data Collective identified 152 wallets that demonstrated outstanding performance in betting on military and defense events, collectively earning about $8 million with an average winning rate of 97.2%.

Some suspicious bets were placed shortly before US military actions, including strikes related to Iran, and were subsequently copied by large traders and automated bots.

Researchers warn that since transactions on Polymarket are public, such activity could unintentionally transmit sensitive information to foreign intelligence services.

🇮🇱🇹🇷⚡️ — The Israeli newspaper Israel Hayom reports that Israel has studied how Article 5 of the NATO operates and argues that Israeli strikes on Turkish forces deployed abroad would not necessarily trigger NATO intervention.

Article 5 protects Turkey's territory but does not automatically extend to Turkish troops stationed in Syria or Northern Cyprus.

As part of this operation, the military is seizing large areas, burning villages, and engaging in clashes with local partisan groups.
