Putin stated that Europe is pushing its countries toward war with Russia.

During a press appearance, the Russian president, commenting on the results of the parliamentary elections in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt, said that the victory of Alternative for Germany was the result of systemic mistakes by Western globalists in the fields of politics, security, and economics.

In particular, he mentioned rising gas prices (which he called market-driven) and the awareness of the population of European countries that they are being dragged into a war with Russia.

According to Putin, Russia does not threaten and does not intend to threaten European countries, but the introduction of European troops into Ukrainian territory would mean war with Russia.
