🇺🇸🇷🇺⚡️ — Democrats are preparing an investigation into Trump's deal regarding Russian diesel, according to Axios.

Influential figures within the Democratic Party are demanding that major banks and ports preserve all documents related to the potential import of Russian diesel and other transactions involving Russian fuel.

If Democrats regain control of one or both chambers of Congress next year, the investigation into Trump's agreements with Moscow will become a priority.

Earlier this month, Trump announced an agreement that was intended to open up access to global and American markets for Russian fuel suppliers. The U.S. Treasury Department suspended sanctions to facilitate the implementation of the agreement.

Critics argue that these measures contradict a 2022 law that prohibits the import of Russian oil, gas, and petroleum products.
