🇮🇷❌🇺🇸 — Iran's IRGC says its Aerospace Force intercepted and destroyed a U.S. MQ-1 drone over Qeshm Island using an advanced air defense system.

The IRGC claims the U.S. has recently intensified reconnaissance to map Iran's air defenses while attempting to manipulate global oil prices through actions in the Strait of Hormuz. The military says these efforts were thwarted by coordinated electronic warfare and air defense units.

Additionally, the IRGC Navy reiterated its full control over the strait, warning that enemy attempts to alter the regional balance of power will fail. A graphic released with the statement claims 15 MQ-1 and 55 MQ-9 drones have been downed since the escalation began.
