Good meeting with the US President in The Hague.

Congratulations to President Trump on the successful operation in the Middle East. It is important that the US actions have weakened not only their nuclear program, but also the production of drones. We will monitor the situation.

We discussed with the President the protection of our people, primarily the purchase of American air defense systems to cover our cities, our people, churches, and infrastructure. Ukraine is ready to buy this equipment and support American weapons manufacturers. Europe can help. We also talked about the possible co-production of drones. We can strengthen each other.

He also told the President about the technical team meetings in Istanbul and the exchanges of prisoners and dead. Russia handed over the bodies of its own dead to us. Now, experts are being conducted in Kyiv to find their relatives.

We talked about the situation on the battlefield. Putin is definitely not winning. I presented the President with the facts of what is really happening on the ground.

Thank you for the meeting and support. Thank you for the really good words about our people. We will continue to work.

"I said it was a bit like a little child asking his daddy: 'Hey, are you still with us, are you staying in the family?' In that sense, I used the word 'daddy', but I did not call President Trump 'daddy'," Rutte said.
