آواتودی/ مهدی نصیری سردبیر اسبق کیهان با انتشار ویدئویی در کانال تلگرامی خود درباره فقر و استیصال مردم تحت حاکمیت جمهوری اسلامی، نوشت: "امام علی" فرمود که اگر خداوند از علما و دانشمندان پیمان نگرفته بود که باید در برابر شکمبارگی ظالمان و گرسنگی مظلومان بی‌تاب شوند، افسار شتر خلافت را بر پشت او می‌انداختم.

وی افزود: اکنون باید از علما و روحانيت حاکم بر ایران پرسید که با کدامین خوانش از حکومت دینی، چنين شیوه‌ای از حکمرانی را که این چنين میلیون‌ها ایرانی نشسته بر منابع ثروت را فقیر و ذلیل کرده، ادامه می‌دهند و حفظ نظام را از اوجب واجبات و حتی مقدم بر حفظ جان "امام زمان" می‌دانند؟!
