Last night the Ministry of Defense signed a huge deal worth 5.2 billion dollars to purchase 25 advanced F-15 aircraft from the American company Boeing, with an option to purchase 25 additional aircraft. The deal, which was financed by American aid funds, was signed after negotiations conducted by the procurement delegation of the Ministry of Defense in the United States in cooperation with the Air Force.

The new F15IA aircraft will be equipped with the most advanced weapon systems, including innovative Israeli systems, and will include improvements in flight range and carrying capacity. The delivery of the aircraft will begin in 2031 at a rate of 4-6 aircraft per year, as part of a significant strengthening of the Air Force which also includes a third F-35 squadron purchased this year. --N12
