Mike Pence on Iran:

In my opinion, the Islamic Republic cannot be trusted, and unless there is a strong framework for verifiable disarmament of their nuclear program, disarmament of their ballistic missile program, and the opening of the Strait โ€” unless all these happen, my view is that it is better to let the United States Armed Forces finish the job our way.

IDF Spokesperson: The IDF struck the launcher from which rockets were fired toward our forces in southern Lebanon

Earlier today (Tuesday), the Israeli Air Force intercepted several rockets that were launched by the Hezbollah terrorist organization toward the area in which IDF soldiers are operating in southern Lebanon.
No sirens were sounded in accordance with protocol.

Shortly afterward, the Israeli Air Force struck and dismantled the launcher from which some of the rockets were fired toward IDF soldiers in southern Lebanon.

Additionally, earlier today (Tuesday), the IDF identified a suspicious vehicle in the area where IDF soldiers are operating in southern Lebanon and fired a warning shot toward it, and later conducted a strike in the area to remove the threat.

The 14-point memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States, as published tonight by the American news agency Bloomberg:

1. Iran and the United States, together with their allies in the current war, declare upon signing this memorandum of understanding an immediate and permanent end to the war on all fronts, including Lebanon, and undertake not to initiate any hostile action against each other from now on, nor to threaten or use force against each other. The final agreement will confirm the provisions of this article and the remaining articles.

2. Iran and the United States undertake to respect each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and to refrain from interfering in each other's internal affairs.

3. Iran and the United States undertake to negotiate and reach a final agreement within a maximum period of 60 days, which may be extended by mutual consent.

4. Upon signing this Memorandum of Understanding, the United States will lift the naval blockade and refrain from any interference or blockade against Iran, and restore full traffic within 30 days; the United States also undertakes to withdraw its forces from the region within 30 days of the final agreement.

5. Upon signing this Memorandum of Understanding, Iran will take immediate steps to ensure the resumption of merchant shipping from the Persian Gulf to the Sea of โ€‹โ€‹Oman and vice versa, within 30 days to pre-war levels, taking into account the need for Iran to remove technical obstacles and defuse mines.

6. The United States undertakes, together with its regional partners, to create a comprehensive and agreed-upon plan for the economic rehabilitation and development of Iran, with funding of at least $300 billion. The implementation mechanism for the plan will be formulated within 60 days.

7. The United States commits to ending, on a schedule to be agreed upon in the final agreement, all types of sanctions against Iran, including resolutions of the United Nations Security Council and the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and all unilateral U.S. sanctions.

8. Iran reiterates that it will never produce nuclear weapons. Iran and the United States agreed that the fate of enriched material and all other nuclear issues would be addressed in the final agreement.

9. Iran and the United States agree that until a final agreement is reached, the status quo will be maintained: Iran will maintain the status quo on its nuclear program, and the United States will not impose new sanctions or strengthen forces in the region.

10. The United States commits that immediately after signing, the U.S. Treasury Department will issue waivers for the export of Iranian crude oil, petrochemical products, and related services (banking, insurance, transportation, etc.).

11. The United States commits to releasing and making fully available frozen or restricted Iranian funds and assets, in accordance with the progress of negotiations.

12. Iran and the United States agree to establish an implementation mechanism to monitor the implementation of the agreement.

13. After signature and with commitments to implement Articles 4, 5, 10 and 11, the parties will enter into negotiations on the final agreement.

14. The final agreement will be approved by a binding resolution of the UN Security Council.
