To eliminate the threat: The Israeli army and Shin Bet eliminated Walid Al-Haniyeh - deputy commander of the elite battalion who led a terrorist group's attack on Israeli territory on October 7. The Israeli army and Shin Bet targeted and eliminated terrorist Walid Al-Haniyeh, deputy commander of the elite battalion in the military wing of the terrorist organization Hamas, the day before yesterday (Thursday).
Recently, Al-Haniyeh had been trying to recruit new terrorists into the organization and also conducted theoretical training for the elite battalion under his command.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told a Jerusalem press conference that there can't be a Palestinian state together with the State of Israel between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea, and that most of the Israeli public now agrees with this viewpoint.
"Before the war, the public was divided: although in my opinion most of the public was against it, a significant portion was in favor. I think that has changed."
