Israel's "Dragon" Submarine Departs Germany for Israel

Reports indicate that the "Dragon" submarine, the third submarine of the Dolphin 2 class in the Israeli Navy, departed from the city of Kiel, Germany, on the morning of September 1st, en route to Israel.

The send-off ceremony for this submarine took place the day before at the Kilofer shipyard, owned by the German company TKMS. Construction of the "Dragon" began in 2012, and the submarine was officially delivered to the Israeli Navy on July 22nd. It is said that the "Dragon" is the largest submarine built in Germany since World War II.
