Removal of Senior Hamas Commander in Gaza

The Hamas terrorist group confirmed the neutralization of Farah Hamed, a commander in the group's military wing, in today's Israeli attack in the city of Gaza.

Hamed was a member of the "Military Council of the Qassam Brigades" in Judea and Samaria, and a member of the Silwan nucleus, a group that carried out a series of deadly armed attacks in Judea and Samaria during the Second Intifada.

He was exiled to Gaza in 2011 as part of a prisoner exchange agreement for Gilad Shalit.

Palestinian sources say that Hamed was targeted today in an attack in the Sheikh Ajlin neighborhood in southwestern Gaza City.
