Israelis protesting Netanyahu's firing of his defense minister are blocking highways and roads across Israel, and some of the demonstrations are turning violent, even against IDF soldiers who attempt to remove the blockades.

Netanyahu had wanted to fire Gallant for months already, as he and his more right-wing coalition members saw the defense minister as an obstacle to TOTAL VICTORY.
Israel's new defense minister, Yisrael Katz, is on board with that agenda.
