Prime Minister's Office: Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is aware of the details of the severe violence in Amsterdam against Israeli citizens, conducted a situation assessment with the Foreign Minister and his military secretary, and receives regular updates all the time. The Prime Minister ordered the immediate release of two rescue planes to aid our citizens and views the horrific event very seriously, and demands the Dutch government and the Dutch security forces to act firmly and quickly against the rioters, and ensure the peace of our citizens.

Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir:
"Throughout the night I was in continuous contact with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Defense, together with the Israel Police, who are making a continuous effort with the Dutch Police and the relevant bodies, in order to rescue the Israeli citizens, and to investigate the serious lynching incidents in the Netherlands.
Fans who went to see a football game, encountered anti-Semitism and were attacked with unimaginable cruelty just because of their Jewishness and Israeliness. I condemn any attempt to make the victim guilty.
This is not only an injury to Jews and Israelis, but a warning sign to all European countries against radical Muslim violence. Those who turn a blind eye to Islamic terrorism in the Middle East - will meet him at home in Europe and the West. Today the victims were Israelis, tomorrow it will be you Europeans.'

Ritchie Torres on the incidence at Amsterdam:
The hysterical and hyperbolic demonization of Israel has led to a global outbreak of antisemitic vitriol, vandalism, and violence. The single most monstrous manifestation of antisemitism is a pogrom that is presently unfolding against hundreds of Jews who were cheering on the Tel Aviv Football Club in Amsterdam.
Those inciting antisemitism now have the blood of a 21st-century pogrom on their hands. The situation is so dire that the Israeli government is dispatching rescue teams for Jews in danger. I am sick to my stomach that a pogrom is happening in the 21st century.

Here's what we know about the Amsterdam pogrom:
โก๏ธAround 3,000 Israeli fans of Maccabi Tel Aviv flew to Amsterdam to watch a game against AFC Ajax.
โก๏ธ An ambush was waiting for them at various points outside the stadium and around the city as they returned by train from the game.
โก๏ธ Footage circulating on social media shows fans being beaten and chased with knives.
โก๏ธ Dutch authorities say 10 Israelis were injured and they have lost contact with two individuals.
โก๏ธ About 57 suspects have reportedly been arrested.
โก๏ธ Israel has dispatched two rescue planes to bring Israelis home.
โก๏ธ The situation is still ongoing with hundreds of Israelis being instructed to lock themselves in hotel rooms and not go outside.

An Israeli mother says she has not been able to reach her son in Amsterdam:
"Before the game he told us 'everything is fine, don't worry', but we have been trying to reach him for hours. I am on the verge of a heart attack"
