The Ministry of Defense has signed a huge deal worth over 2 billion shekels with Slovakia, under which it will purchase the BARAK MX air defense system - manufactured by Israel Aerospace Industries. The system is capable of dealing with a variety of aerial threats, and has interception ranges of up to 150 kilometers. The deal, which is the largest in history between Israel and Slovakia, is expected to deepen security cooperation between the countries.

President Herzog met with Australian journalist Erin Morlan who has frequently expressed public support for Israel's right to defend itself.
