Powerful Israeli army attacks on terrorists in Baalbek and southern Lebanon

To Trump: In the Middle East, loyalty is currency. If you abandon your closest friend halfway through a fight and cut deals behind their back while leaving them exposed, don't expect anyone to trust your guarantees again. You told the world, "The U.S. and Israel carried out an operation against Iran," then walked away and left your ally standing alone.
In the Middle East, we don't judge friends by speeches; we judge them by who stays when the missiles fly. A person who abandons an ally halfway and cuts deals behind their back is not someone you call in a crisis.
You will say it's about American interests. Fine. But others also have interests, and they have memories. You can call it "America's interests." We call it something else: leaving your friends in the storm.
Before asking, "Why don't they defend themselves?" remember that countries like Israel did and are still doing so alone.
And also remember that the UAE defended itself, struck back forcefully, and banned the Muslim Brotherhood. Many of your countries in the West did neither.
The lesson is simple. If you can leave your closest friend exposed today, why should anyone trust your promises tomorrow? Maybe it's time for the Middle East to start thinking about alternatives.
And yes, when Iran strikes again, don't assume the Middle East will dial Washington. People don't call someone who might leak information to Turkey or cut a deal with Tehran while their friends are still under fire.

France wants a role in the next phase of talks on Iranโs nuclear program and will not approve the lifting of UN sanctions unless it is satisfied with the terms of a final accord, Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot said Friday.
Barrot said any final deal would need Security Council endorsement and that France, as a permanent member, would have a say over sanctions relief.
He said the talks must also address Tehranโs ballistic missile program and support for proxy groups, warning that the nuclear file alone would not ensure regional stability.
โOur objective is to get major concessions from the Iranian regime, a radical change in posture. And we will have our word to say, because as a member of the UNSC it will be necessarily linked to the resolution of this crisis,โ Barrot said.

It is disrespectful that Israel, having engaged in conflict alongside the United States against Iran, was excluded from the negotiations, yet the United States seeks to impose the terms of the agreement upon Israel. As Israel is not a party to the agreement, it is consequently not binding.

The Pakistani foreign minister offers an alternative reason for the cancellation of the negotiation talks between Iran and the US in Switzerland:
The reason that the negotiations in Switzerland have not yet begun is related to the fact that senior Iranian officials are occupied with the ceremonies of the month of Muharram (a holy month for Shiites during which they hold the Ashura ceremonies )

Trump thought he was buying peace with Iran. Churchill knew better:
"If you choose dishonor to avoid war, you will get both dishonor and war."
