Israeli Defense Minister, Yisrael Katz, on the agreement with Lebanon:

This agreement is a historic event and an important political and security achievement for Israel.

Israel has not withdrawn from Lebanon and maintains the security zone including Buq'ata.

Israel will not redeploy in Lebanon or withdraw as long as Hezbollah does not lay down its arms throughout Lebanon and the security of northern residents is not guaranteed.

This is a strategic blow to the axis of the Islamic Republic regime. If the Islamic Republic tries to attack Israel to prevent the implementation of the agreement - we will act strongly against it.

Israel remains in the yellow security zone that keeps us safe. And this is a great achievement โ€” very great!

Because what did they do? They tried to push us out of there by various means and pressures. Of course, that did not happen.

I thank President Trump and Secretary of State Rubio for their participation and assistance.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Lebanon:

We are breaking the diplomatic axis of the Islamic Republic.

We were able to reach this framework of understandings for a simple reason: because we dealt a heavy blow to Hezbollah.

And Hezbollah, which expected help from Iran, did not receive it.

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ โ€” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Lebanon:

I want to remind you what was in Lebanon. Hezbollah had 150,000 missiles and rockets. And we destroyed about 90% of this huge arsenal.

We shocked them with beepers, eliminated Nasrallah, killed the commanders of the Redwan force.

In just the past two weeks, we have killed more than 200 terrorists.

We are destroying their terrorist infrastructure.

There are shelters, there are tunnels, there are terrorist villages.

We are destroying everything.

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ง Israeli National Security Minister Ben Gvir:

Agreement with Lebanon is a big mistake โ€” Tonight I approached the Prime Minister and requested a vote in the cabinet, and I have been fighting against this agreement for weeks.
In fact, for now, we remain in most of the territory, but the Lebanese government will not disarm Hezbollah, Lebanese government ministers are members of Hezbollah, and we cannot trust Lebanon to take weapons from Hezbollah โ€” I will request a vote in the cabinet.
Only the Israeli army soldiers will destroy Hezbollah โ€” no other institution will do this for us!

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ โ€” Israeli Foreign Minister, Gideon Sa'ar:

I welcome Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's statement tonight about his intention to form a broad national government after the elections. I support his statement which reflects the necessary direction for the country.

After October 7, 2023, there is no place for sanction policies and disqualifications.

Israel will also be engaged in a struggle for its survival and future in the coming years.

Therefore, forming a broad national government is a clear national interest.

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu:

After eliminating the existential threat of the Islamic Republic of Iran, a broad national government can establish peace among ourselves, confront the remnants of the Iran axis, and reap the fruits of our victory through diplomatic agreements like the one we are making with Lebanon.

Not only do I want energy independence โ€” which we have already achieved โ€” but also economic independence.

I also want security independence in our defense and arms industries. Simply to reduce our dependence on others.

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑIsraeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu:

We have enemies outside, and they are definitely waiting for us to start a civil war.

And I say, as Menachem Begin said, "There will be no more civil war. There will be no civil war here."

To achieve this goal, I intend to form a national and broad government โ€” not a limited government, not a leftist government dependent on Arab parties, but a national and broad government.

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu:

Lebanon's government still has more work to do and has already started taking action. This is not a small matter.

The signing of this agreement itself is a very brave step, because for the first time in decades, they are practically telling Hezbollah and Iran: "Get out of here. We are making peace with Israel. Whether you like it or not, we want to make peace with the Israeli government."
And I want to tell you that we have heard support for this among the Christian people of Lebanon, the Druze people, the Muslim people โ€” even among some Shiites.

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu:

The Lebanese armed forces must make changes within themselves. There are also jihadists inside that army.

The Lebanese government knows it must deal with this issue as well. Of course, we will test this in practice.
