Israel slams Turkish FM for inciting “genocide”

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar said he was “sickened” after hearing his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, tell CNN Türk that Israel has become “a burden humanity can no longer bear.”

Wrote Sa’ar:

“Dehumanizing the Jewish people as an ‘unbearable burden’ is the classic, horrific language of history’s worst eliminationist regimes.

“The civilized world and Turkey’s NATO allies must unequivocally condemn this explicit call for the erasure of Israel.”

In the interview, Fidan stated: “Israel is not only a problem for Turkey; it has become a problem for the entire world.”

Frustration is mounting in Israel as US President Donald Trump continues to paint the regime of Turkish strongman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan as a reliable ally, even as that regime grows increasingly hostile toward the Jewish state.

Trump Expected to Visit Erdoğan and Announce F-35 Deal

President Trump is expected to travel to Turkey next week and may announce a major defense deal with President Erdoğan, hinting at a "big bag of gifts" that could include F-35 fighter jets.
