The Israeli military announced that it has neutralized one of the commanders of the Hamas terrorist group, who was involved in holding a number of hostages.
According to the Israeli military, "Mahmoud Bassam Mahmoud Mashtawi" was neutralized in an operation on July 30, 2026, in the northern Gaza Strip.
Mashtawi served as a commander of a unit within the "Shatee" battalion of Hamas's military wing. He entered Israeli territory during the October 7th attack and played a role in holding a number of hostages throughout the war, including Tziya Idan, Noa Mersiano, Ziv Berman, Omri Miran, Ori Megidish, Nima Levy, and Matan Angrest.

Two beautiful guests from Iran ๐ฆ
This morning, a park ranger in the Biram National Park in the Galilee region of northern Israel encountered a beautiful sight. Two Iranian gazelles, likely having come from a natural reserve adjacent to the park.
In the years leading up to the revolution, the Israeli Nature and Parks Authority began negotiations with the Shah's government to bring a few of these gazelles to Israel for conservation purposes. Simultaneously, Israel received two male gazelles from Germany, which had previously been transferred from Iran for protection.
Just before Khomeini's arrival, and on the last flight from Tehran to Tel Aviv, four female Iranian gazelles were transferred to Israel with the help of General Manouchehr Khosrowdad, as promised by the Shah's government. Today, several herds of Iranian gazelles live in the Carmel Mountains in Israel and are under protection.

Ministry of Defense: Thousands of tons of military equipment, D9 bulldozers, and combat vehicles have arrived from the US to Israel in a special procurement and transport operation by the Ministry of Defense and the IDF
As part of the ongoing effort to support the IDFโs preparedness for all scenarios, the Ministry of Defense has completed the reception and unloading in Israel of a cargo ship carrying thousands of tons of military equipment and weaponry.
The cargo unloaded at the Port of Haifa includes, among other things, essential D9 bulldozers, Hummer vehicles, JLTV armored vehicles, Oshkosh trucks, and much additional equipment intended to strengthen the operational competence and continuity of the ground forces.
