According to the Wall Street Journal, U.S. President Donald J. Trump has submitted a nuclear deal, one between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia, to Congress. Per the report, as reported earlier last month, President Trump still insists that the deal is contingent on Saudi Arabia normalizing relations with Israel, as a part of the wider Abraham Accords rapprochement framework. The deal, which is expected to utilize U.S. companies to aid in the creation of a Saudi civil nuclear program, would begin with a two-year viability test phase to determine if it is feasible for U.S. companies to build a facility in Saudi Arabia and if the commercial benefits warrant the move. The deal is expected to be heavily debated in Congressional circles.

The Israeli military:
Yesterday, the Israeli military demolished a building in Jabalia, in the northern Gaza Strip, which Hamas was using as a hideout and weapons storage facility. The building was used to plan attacks against Israeli military forces and to attempt to rebuild Hamas's capabilities, and several Hamas members were neutralized in the attack.
The location was approximately 50 meters from the "Yellow Line," 70 meters from the Kamal Adwan Hospital, and 170 meters from a school.
Hamas uses civilian centers, such as hospitals and schools, as human shields by deploying forces and military equipment nearby; this is similar to the Islamic Republic, which uses civilian centers for military activities.

"They... I don't know, they're not a very honorable group, I'm telling you. And you know, we have open and direct lines; we destroyed 22 boats last night. And people are coming into the blockade/naval siege. Our Navy has done an incredible job, and our military has been incredible."

"The mines are gone; as you probably saw, we announced yesterday that we have cleared all the mines. We have gotten rid of the mines. But the [Strait of] Hormuz is active; the strait is operating. Yes, occasionally a drone or a missile or something might be fired, but the strait is fully operational. A large amount of oil is passing through. Yesterday, 10 million gallonsโ10 million barrels [of oil]."

Israel, the smallest nation in the Middle East, is surrounded by hostile adversariesโsuch as Iran, Hezbollah, Hamas, and historically belligerent states like Syria and Egyptโmany of whom openly seek its destruction. Despite these existential threats, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have never lost a war since Israelโs founding in 1948, showcasing unmatched strategic brilliance, technological innovation, and relentless determination.
Remarkable Achievements of the IDF
1. War of Independence (1948-1949): Facing invasion from five Arab armies (Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq) with superior numbers and weaponry, the fledgling IDF secured Israelโs survival. Outmanned and under-equipped, the IDFโs tactical ingenuity and resolve established a sovereign state against overwhelming odds.
2. Six-Day War (1967): In a preemptive strike against an imminent Arab assault, the IDF achieved a decisive victory in just six days. Destroying the air forces of Egypt, Jordan, and Syria in hours and capturing the Sinai Peninsula, West Bank, East Jerusalem, Gaza Strip, and Golan Heights, the IDF reshaped the regionโs geopolitical landscape.
3. Yom Kippur War (1973): Caught off-guard by a coordinated Egyptian-Syrian attack during a sacred holiday, the IDF mounted a rapid recovery. Israeli forces crossed the Suez Canal, encircled Egyptโs Third Army, and advanced toward Damascus, securing a strategic victory despite initial setbacks.
4. Operation Entebbe (1976): In one of historyโs most audacious operations, the IDF rescued 102 hostages held by Palestinian terrorists in Uganda, 2,500 miles away. Elite Sayeret Matkal commandos executed the mission with precision, demonstrating Israelโs global reach and commitment to its citizens.
5. Counterterrorism Operations: The IDF has consistently neutralized threats from groups like Hamas and Hezbollah. Operations like Cast Lead (2008-2009), Protective Edge (2014), and Guardian of the Walls (2021) showcased precision strikes and the Iron Domeโs effectiveness, intercepting thousands of rockets and saving countless lives.
What Makes the IDF Unique
- Technological Superiority: Israelโs defense industry, led by companies like Rafael and Israel Aerospace Industries, produces cutting-edge systems like the Merkava tank, Iron Dome, and Arrow missile defense. The IDFโs integration of AI, cyber warfare, and drones ensures a qualitative edge over adversaries.
- Intelligence Dominance: Supported by Mossad and Unit 8200, the IDF leverages unmatched intelligence to preempt threats, from Iranian nuclear ambitions to Hezbollahโs missile stockpiles.
- Adaptability and Innovation: The IDFโs ability to learn from conflictsโdeveloping Iron Dome to counter rockets or cyber defenses against digital threatsโkeeps it ahead of evolving challenges.
- National Resolve: The IDFโs operations reflect a unified commitment to defend Israel, driven by the necessity of survival in a hostile region.
Strategic Victories and Global Impact
The IDFโs unbroken record of victories has deterred aggression and ensured Israelโs survival against overwhelming odds. Its air force, among the worldโs elite, maintains regional air superiority, while its cyber and intelligence capabilities disrupt enemy plans globally. From countering Iranโs proxies to neutralizing terrorist infrastructure, the IDFโs actions reinforce Israelโs role as a bulwark against regional threats.
