Trump:

"The mines are gone; as you probably saw, we announced yesterday that we have cleared all the mines. We have gotten rid of the mines. But the [Strait of] Hormuz is active; the strait is operating. Yes, occasionally a drone or a missile or something might be fired, but the strait is fully operational. A large amount of oil is passing through. Yesterday, 10 million gallonsโ€”10 million barrels [of oil]."

Israel, the smallest nation in the Middle East, is surrounded by hostile adversariesโ€”such as Iran, Hezbollah, Hamas, and historically belligerent states like Syria and Egyptโ€”many of whom openly seek its destruction. Despite these existential threats, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have never lost a war since Israelโ€™s founding in 1948, showcasing unmatched strategic brilliance, technological innovation, and relentless determination.

Remarkable Achievements of the IDF

1. War of Independence (1948-1949): Facing invasion from five Arab armies (Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq) with superior numbers and weaponry, the fledgling IDF secured Israelโ€™s survival. Outmanned and under-equipped, the IDFโ€™s tactical ingenuity and resolve established a sovereign state against overwhelming odds.

2. Six-Day War (1967): In a preemptive strike against an imminent Arab assault, the IDF achieved a decisive victory in just six days. Destroying the air forces of Egypt, Jordan, and Syria in hours and capturing the Sinai Peninsula, West Bank, East Jerusalem, Gaza Strip, and Golan Heights, the IDF reshaped the regionโ€™s geopolitical landscape.

3. Yom Kippur War (1973): Caught off-guard by a coordinated Egyptian-Syrian attack during a sacred holiday, the IDF mounted a rapid recovery. Israeli forces crossed the Suez Canal, encircled Egyptโ€™s Third Army, and advanced toward Damascus, securing a strategic victory despite initial setbacks.

4. Operation Entebbe (1976): In one of historyโ€™s most audacious operations, the IDF rescued 102 hostages held by Palestinian terrorists in Uganda, 2,500 miles away. Elite Sayeret Matkal commandos executed the mission with precision, demonstrating Israelโ€™s global reach and commitment to its citizens.

5. Counterterrorism Operations: The IDF has consistently neutralized threats from groups like Hamas and Hezbollah. Operations like Cast Lead (2008-2009), Protective Edge (2014), and Guardian of the Walls (2021) showcased precision strikes and the Iron Domeโ€™s effectiveness, intercepting thousands of rockets and saving countless lives.

What Makes the IDF Unique

- Technological Superiority: Israelโ€™s defense industry, led by companies like Rafael and Israel Aerospace Industries, produces cutting-edge systems like the Merkava tank, Iron Dome, and Arrow missile defense. The IDFโ€™s integration of AI, cyber warfare, and drones ensures a qualitative edge over adversaries.
- Intelligence Dominance: Supported by Mossad and Unit 8200, the IDF leverages unmatched intelligence to preempt threats, from Iranian nuclear ambitions to Hezbollahโ€™s missile stockpiles.
- Adaptability and Innovation: The IDFโ€™s ability to learn from conflictsโ€”developing Iron Dome to counter rockets or cyber defenses against digital threatsโ€”keeps it ahead of evolving challenges.
- National Resolve: The IDFโ€™s operations reflect a unified commitment to defend Israel, driven by the necessity of survival in a hostile region.

Strategic Victories and Global Impact

The IDFโ€™s unbroken record of victories has deterred aggression and ensured Israelโ€™s survival against overwhelming odds. Its air force, among the worldโ€™s elite, maintains regional air superiority, while its cyber and intelligence capabilities disrupt enemy plans globally. From countering Iranโ€™s proxies to neutralizing terrorist infrastructure, the IDFโ€™s actions reinforce Israelโ€™s role as a bulwark against regional threats.

White House Spokesperson on Iran:

Currently, there are no negotiations underway with Iran.

This situation will continue until Mr. Trump believes that they might engage in serious and constructive negotiations.

We have not yet seen such a development.

The Israeli military announced that two members of Hamas's special unit were neutralized in separate operations in Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.

One individual, who, according to the Israeli military, participated in the October 7, 2023, attack on the Re'im base near the Gaza border.
In another operation on Monday, Razik Suhail Suleiman Abu Shuhama was neutralized. He also infiltrated the Re'im base during the October 7 attack. The Israeli military stated that Abu Shuhama was previously Yahya Sinwar's personal bodyguard, the former leader of Hamas.
