[1] Bakhmut front

In recent days, Ukrainian forces have achieved some success in the Bakhmut area, penetrating up to 1.4 km in some areas and returning to the city from Ivanivske.
This is due to the lack of Russian manpower deployed in the Central Front and the fact that several units (such as the 217th Airborne Regiment and the 137th Guards Airborne Regiment) have been deployed near Klishchiivka in fear of a Ukrainian push that would cut off the route south between Bakhmut and Zaitseve, leaving the central part of the front and the northern salient undermanned.
In the north the 9th Motorized Rifle Regiment is (arguably) combat ineffective and the 200th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade had to intervene to avoid a tactical encirclement, leaving some territory to the Ukraine to the east.
We are likely to see further progress in the area in the near future

[2] Lobkove battle

As mentioned the previous day, Ukrainian forces crossed the small river flowing through Lobkove, creating a bridgehead that expanded overnight, threatening Luhove and even the town of Vasylivka.
While it is not known why the 429th Motor Rifle Regiment and 125th Regiment (DPR militia) left the South Ossetian forces without reinforcements, it has been estimated that other Kherson Front units are leaving their positions to strengthen this area
