🇺🇦🇬🇧🇯🇴 @Bochkala_WAR announced the purchase of Challenger 1 tanks for Ukrainian Army, although the tank in the video is a Chieftain. The most of Chieftain are in service with Islamic Republic of Iran Army and Jordanian Armed Forces, meanwhile all British Challenger 1 where sold to Jordan (402) between 1999-2004. The Chieftain is armed with a L11A5 120mm barrel same as Challenger 2 capable of punching through Russian T-90/T-80 tanks. The main problem of this MBT is Layland 60 engine which is out of production. The forementioned Challenger 1 or Chieftain will be supplied by Jordan with the help of the United Kingdom but this will mean that it will be a long time before seeing them in service with Ukrainian Armed Forces.

🇮🇹🇺🇸🇬🇧 On 19 July 1943 the bombing of Rome by the United States and England began. More than 600 bombers including flying fortresses B-17 and B-24 Liberator participated in the attacks that mainly targeted the neighborhood of San Lorenzo. The aim of the operation was to destroy Sicily's supply capacity. Island invaded nine days earlier by the Allies. The attacks were anticipated by warnings asking the population to leave the capital. The bombings killed 3.000 people in total and contributed to the fall of fascism in Italy.

While Russia threatens military action in waters near Ukraine (perhaps even international ones), it is worth remembering that Russia's Black Sea Fleet is not the largest in the region.
Right now Russia has 15 major units in the Black Sea (with 5 amphibious units and 4 submarines), while Turkey has more than 85 warships, 43 of them in the Black Sea and Bosphorus Strait.
The main difference between the two combat forces is that Turkey can supply and reinforce its units in the area, while Russia is effectively blocked from doing so

🇺🇸 General Mark Milley, Chief of Staff of the US Army, talks about the Ukrainian counter-offensive. Milley says that the Ukrainian forces have not yet used the best forces they have. He adds that the fight is hard and bloody. The Ukrainian army has to break through minefields and powerful defensive lines, but it is not wearing down its armed forces.

🇮🇹 The italian shipbuilder colossus, Fincantieri, could soon buying Thyssenkrupp Marine Systems (TKMS). It is known that TKMS wants to sell its submarines division and it’s searching for companies intrested either in buyng the division or creating a joint venture. Fincantieri already collaborates with TKMS when it comes to submarines and the italian company seeks to strenghten its global position in this specific sector. In the beginning of 2022, Handelsblatt esteemd TKMS in 1-2 billions euro. It is worthy to remember that U212 submarines and the lates U212 NFS (Near Future Submarines) are the result of cooperation between Fincantieri and TKMS.

🇺🇸🇰🇵 The Pentagon considers Travis King, the US soldier who crossed into North Korea, absent without official leave (AWOL). King spent 50 days in a South Korean jail because he didn't pay a 4.000 $ fine for damaging a police car. He was arrested after a fight in a night club. After his release he crossed the demilitarized border and went AWOL in North Korea. The reasons for his actions are still unknown and so far there is no official statement from North Korean authorities on the matter. At any rate, the Pentagon still doesn't consider him a defector.

🔴 Former FSB agent and Russian commander Igor Strelkov has been detained by Russian law enforcement officers. His wife (Miroslava Reginskaya) announced on his Telegram channel that Girkin was arrested this morning with the accusation of extremism. According to preliminary data, the detention was carried out at the request of a former employee of PMC Wagner Group.
