🇸🇪 According to many analists (including ourselves), the Gripen is the best choice for the Ukrainian Air Force. It’s a light multirole fighter aircraft, fully NATO interoperable and can do all the most important operations required by the theater of operations, that is A-A, CAS, SEAD-DEAD, Anti-Ship and Deep-Strike (with cruise missiles such as the KEPD Taurus).

Furthermore its EW suite is one of the best in the world, with some NATO pilots reporting that in various “Red Flags” it was able to get "dangerously close" before being able to detect it, basically achieving low observability not through shape but through electronic warfare. In A-A combat its sensor fusion and compatibility with the METEOR missile make It extremely deadly.

For CAS it can use Brimstone missiles ripple firing them without line of sight through datalink, allowing further survivability even along the line of contact. Against air defences it uses SPEAR and SPEAR EW missiles, distracting the battery with the latter and striking it with the first.

Its RBS-15 Anti-Ship cruise missiles are capable of flying less then 5 meters from water level at mach 0.9 delaying detection to last possible moment and performing last second evasive maneuvers to not get hit by anti missile counterfire from the target. Lastly the TAURUS is somewhat comparable to the Storm Shadow but has longer range thanks to the turbofan engine and a different programmable warhead, capable of fragmentation or unitary detonation.

The United States will have access to military space on the island but not for offensive actions.
