🚀 The Teseo MK2/EVO is the final evolution of the OTOMAT platform, which was developed in the 70s. It's basically a further iteration of the Teseo Mk2 in development since 2006.

🇮🇹 This missile was built and updated with the new PPA program of the Italian Navy in mind . These PPAs are in fact being built with the use of the new Teseo MK2/E integral to their doctrine of employment.

🌎 Like previous versions and most anti ship missiles in general this one also follows a sea skimming flight path, delaying its detection by radars to the maximum extent and therefore maximize its effectiveness, requiring fewer missiles per target. To keep below the radar horizon but out of the sea, the missile's navigational aid systems are continuously scanning in front of it and computing the best flight path to also avoid hitting the waves in case of bad weather.

📈 The missile has a weight of 700kg (almost a quintal less). Its range is also significantly increased, capable of hitting a target at more than 350 km away. Given the scenarios in which this missile will operate, that of modern theaters of war, its guidance system has also been improved with multimodal seekers.

☢️ One will be anti radiation, allowing the missile to follow enemy ships radio emissions in order to hit them. As such it will also be equipped with ECCM (Electronic counter countermeasures) to significantly lessn the probability of its seeker getting fooled by ECM. It also has an electro-optical sensor allowing It to function like a passive laser missile seeker or active optical one if the context requires it, this further expands its redundancy in case of jamming and versatility as high precision land attack cruise missile.
