🇺🇦 A ukrainian lieutenant, Kostyuk Andrey Aleksandrovich,was captured on 5/6 on the Zaporizhia direction by russian units.
He claimed that after hitting a mine the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine refused to evacuate him and the driver, in connection with which the two decided to surrendered.
He claimed that he recived little to no training (even if he claimed to have enlisted on the 24/2/2022) and urged his fellow citizens to avoid mobilization, since "it's better to serve a sentence in prison than to become cannon fodder".
He later claimed that the Ukrainian High Command keeps combat-ready units in reserve, and unprepared units take part in assaults tasked to "neutralize minefields with their bodied" and finding gaps in russian defense, so that units of the "highest rank" can then go into action

🇺🇸 The United States needs a hot existential war.

📉 The American identity crisis has no precedent in history. If we go back in time, between the late 1800s and early 1900s with the huge wave of immigration that arrived in the United States (Germans, Jews, then Irish and British) we see how civil society was affected by class and gender wars, with the big capitalists attacking the unions and a very strong proletarian class, but the imperial world projection was minimal compared to today. If we consider the period after World War II, we see the African-American movement in the ghettos of the metropolises (New Jersey, Detroit) that showed how African-Americans were an opposite and separate nation to the official one. A potentially terrorist and violent African-American nationalism. Moreover, the crisis of liberalism among young university students and the counterculture remained a danger to American ideology. But the situation was less serious than expected. The United States could see in the Soviet Union an existential enemy and unite. Today that's not the case.

🦅 The United States is currently in a crisis with no way out. Society does not believe in state institutions, it wants to solve internal problems without looking at the world, without fighting new wars in unknown nations. China is not considered an existential problem by all civil society, indeed some Americans think that the Chinese model is superior. The wars fought by the United States in the 2000s (and with Clinton in the Balkans) were tactical, not strategic, conflicts. The wars in Afghanistan and Iraq were ideological, just like Vietnam. The last time the United States fought an existential war was against Japan during World War II when the Pacific Ocean was in danger. The United States needs a new conventional war to get out of the crisis, as Wilson wanted in 1913. Finding an existential enemy and fighting it. The United States needs a new Pearl Harbor.
